  1. Please post it on the forum when you get it finished! I will be on the lookout lol!
  2. I still haven't got this case out of my mind. I am so excited for it!
  3. Long story short, I have the 7700K. I found it to be too hot, I will underclock & undervolt to lower temps until I can delid. I have the Intel HD 630 OC'd so I can play Cities Skylines at 1080p until I find out just how competitive Vega will be. Please stop telling me I made the wrong hardware choice and actually think about my question. K thanks. It really is very toxic on this forum.
  4. I agree with everything you've posted in the comment, but I bought the 7700K because I like to experiment. I was able to keep 5252MHz stable, but it would thermal throttle every few minutes, even with all of my case fans on 100%. I had set the thermal throttle threshold in the BIOS to somethig like backing off 100MHz and lower voltage until it cooled down to 90F or something like that. I stopped doing that because I would like to prolong the life of my hardware. It had been a while since I maxed out the CPU's OC so I forgot the 252MHz. That wasn't what this post is about. I appreciate that someone here actually gave their undervolt/clock result! Everyone just wants to argue instead of answering a question. Thank you for the screenshot as well. I haven't tried under 1.0V yet, but I will soon. Thank you for the reply.
  5. I feel like a lot of people are missing the point of the post though lol. I was just curious about how low a ratio of Voltage to Frequency people are able to get on Kaby Lake...
  6. I had to underclock to 4GHz to keep is stable. I wouldn't let me go down to 1.0V at stock. I think it's because I use the integrated graphics overclocked with a voltage bump. It's weird to OC the Intel HD 630. It's only a few hundred MHz though, so I can deal with it until I can delid and replace the AIO. The AIO's fans are awful as well.
  7. I am undervolting because I am in a pinch until I can afford to change my system. The TIM on my chip sucks balls. It is a lot quieter, and I can't hear the pump in my case (NZXT H440 Razer)
  8. Delidding yields lower temps, lower temps requires less airflow, less airflow is quieter... Or am I mistaken?
  9. I can get a stable 5GHz no AVX offset, but the temps are outrageous. Fans at 100%. 4GHz @ 1.0V is only a max of 60C while my H100i-V2's fans are only at 1400RPM. I can't even hear my PC, and my power supply's fan doesn't even kick on. I am delidding soon for lower temps so I can run it at 5GHz instead of 4GHz. I was just curious how low people can go while staying stable.
  10. I am interested in running my i7-7700K at very low voltage until I am able to perform a delid. Anyone have experience with underclocking and undervolting Kaby Lake CPUs? I am able to have a ROCK SOLID 4GHz @ 1.0V Manual & 1.0V Standby. What kind of clocks can you get with 1.0V? What is the lowest stable voltage you can get at stock frequency? This is with no AVX offset. I have achieved this while overclocking the integrated graphics (HD630) to a ratio of 28 with an offset of +.4V. This allows me to get 1400MHz on the integrated graphics. At 100%, the IGPU reaches max of 75C.
  11. I ran BOINC AVX computations at 100% load @100% CPU time. I also stressed it with Prime95 for short intervals, Furmark (I use the integrated graphics OC'd), Intel ETU Stability test for 1hr, & Aida64. Plus I intentionally tried to destabilize it by pausing tests to go to 0% utilization, then 100% over and over, lowering the fan RPM periodically... and it was rock solid. Just hot as hell. I couldn't find a better screenshot.
  12. Mine is stock. I think I was lucky to hit 5.2GHz max stable without a delid. It was constantly around 90C on the package though. I need to delid.
  13. I can get up to 5.2 GHz stable, but that's with fans at 100%. But I am underclocking to 1.0V with a multiplier at 40 to keep it silent. I see you have yours clocked to 5.3 GHz. Is that delidded? And what voltage does 5.3 GHz require? I'm sure that gets hot!
