  1. The DAC alone is outside the budget. I'm genuinely not interested in going outside of that price range either. I'm fine with needing to upgrade down the road or buy used, just not blowing more then what I can spend.
  2. Can we please cut to the chase? I understand that you are very ecstatic about this, and I love good audio. I'm also not looking to replace my headset right now, but I do plan on that coming sometime down the road. I was already planning to be plugging it into my laptop via USB, and I understand what a digital output would be. I'm not intending to be rude, just not wanting to be lead through a wild goose chase.
  3. That AIO isn't designed for the TR4 socket. It's made for more mainstream CPUs that aren't nearly that big. Because of the way it's set up, you won't be getting proper coverage of the dies under the IHS.
  4. No, but then again, I'm not interested in Apple products.
  5. Okay, so lately I've been having some issues with the headphone jack on my laptop, and it isn't wanting to feed audio. While I do have Bluetooth, I'd rather not have to constantly be concerned about the battery of the headphones and all the other issues that can present. So, I've thought about getting a USB DAC, possibly a DAC/AMP combo. Right now, I have a Kraken Pro v2(the Bass on them is a disappointment in my mind.), so I understand that an amp isn't needed. I would, however appreciate the additional functionality for the future should I decide to buy higher impedance headphones (something I have been eyeing). Budget is ~$50-60 USD, and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Something portable would be nice, though not entirely necessary.
  6. Getting ready to stream on YouTube! I'll be participating in the Paladins torment!

  7. A+ Certified!!!! 733 on my 220-902

  8. Thanks! To be honest, I've played around with it a little over the weekend, trying to get a feel for it. I think the only experience I technically have is from one project in high school on a MacBook. Otherwise, yeah, 0 experience. I usually find ads in general to be an annoyance, so Hitfilm might be a bit too irritating.
  9. I don't really have any prior experience, to be honest. Tutorials would be appreciated though.
  10. Okay, do either of you have any advice when it comes to using DaVinci?
  11. Alright, I have my new laptop, and I'm loving it. Now, time to learn some video editing. I would appreciate some recommendations. I don't have any experience with this, so if I could get some advice on the process, that would be apprechiated too. Max resolution I'm considering using is 1080p, though I'm considering 720p if I start eating up too much storage(I have an extra external HDD I can use externally, plus two empty SATA m.2 slots)
  12. So, I got my new laptop, opened it up, cleaned it as best I could without canned air(first image is just what I was able to get off the heatsink for the gpu). Unfortunately, i'm the process, I either killed one of the 8GB SODIMMs or it decided to die on me. Luckily, I had a 4GB stick from the last laptop I could salvage, so I'm only down from 16GB to 12GB (I'll live for now). Anywho, once I got that done, I reran Unigine Heaven and Valley, and temps came down ~10C. I popped open Afterburner and found it won't let me adjust the voltage, power limit, temp limit, or fan speed. Even messing around with clock speeds was kinda buggy at times. The highest I could get it to accept and actually be stable with was +100MHz on the Core, and +200MHz on the Memory. Here's the settings I used for each benchmark: Heaven API: DirectX 11 Quality: Ultra Tessellation: Extreme Stereo 3D: Disabled Multi-Monitor: Disabled Fullscreen: ☑ Resolution: 1920x1080 Valley API: DirectX 11 Quality: Ultra Stereo 3D: Disabled Monitors: Single Anti-aliasing: x8 Fullscreen: ☑ Resolution: 1920x1080 Vsync was off for both benchmarks. Power setting was set to high, laptop was plugged in, no perifrials where plugged in, and only Afterburner was left running. 13. How much do you think an air cooler costs, and how much do you think the CPU costs? When Ryzen 3 came out, every techtuber I watch noticed that OC pushed the stealth past it's limit. @David From NerdTech Even with the above suggested R5 2400G, I would get something like the following coolers so you could OC the CPU and GPU parts of the APU. Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE ($29.89-32.46) https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/sVYLrH,yHNv6h,dGfhP6,P8KcCJ/ Cryorig M9a $19.89 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Gqp323/cryorig-cpu-cooler-m9a Deepcool GAMAXX 300R $19.99 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GHVBD3/deepcool-gammaxx-300-r-400-cfm-cpu-cooler-gammaxx-300-r be quiet! Pure Rock Slim $21.29 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hyQRsY/be-quiet-pure-rock-slim-351-cfm-cpu-cooler-bk008 Cryorig H7 $34.89 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/93Crxr/cryorig-cpu-cooler-h7 be quiet! 14. fortnite is already very easy to run. However, since you are overclocking, I'd get a different cooler. Without knowing what your case is, I can't make a recommendation due to not knowing the case limitations.
  15. Okay..... That answers one question.... That's a second...
  16. 1) dual channel RAM will actually more of an edge with Ryzen. 2) Why two keyboards? 3) If you can, try to find somewhere that you can try on those headphones. I've heard people don't like how rough the cloth earcups can be. 4) What case will you be using? 5) Are you planning on overclocking? If you are, look into an after market cooler, as the stock cooler isn't quite enough to handle much more then a light OC.
  17. 220-901 yesterday..... Passed with a 762! Now I just wish I wasn't tired and had a little more time to prepare for the 220-902.

  18. So, I have a project I've been given where I have a $10,000USD budget to do a HTPC setup. I've got the screen, the projector, the speaker system, but the case needs to be a rack mount with a 5.25" bay. Anyone have any ideas for one?
  19. Mine was more "I just bought a used laptop that I'll probably want to re-paste. Now there's this, and I don't have to worry about messing up the application."
  20. Thanks for the helpful info. I plan to game and start learning to create content (mostly videos). Gaming was priority. I ended up going with the Hasee because the seller was responsive and detailed in the information provided, and seemed to be honest about the product, along with while having the same gpu, according to what I noticed on userbenchmark, there's maybe a 5% difference in performance at most. I don't know how soon I'll be able to repaste, but I'll do it as soon as I can.
