Cuz its better? faster refresh rate and higher hz is not a cap on fps? Some games like to cap on the fps but its not the same thing. Simply both looks better and runs better. Theres a big difference between the one you are using now and a 1920x1080 144hz 1ms. Not rly a waste if you are into graphics over gameplay

Well you need to get a new motherboard for 1151 anyways if you want to get a high end cpu. Havent seen 1150 in a while. So what ram do you have? Try getting the exakt same sticks. Why not lower the settings? Thats what pretty much everyone has to do? and should do. Like i have a 1080 but still put lowest settings on Pubg. Then get a 1151 motherboard and a 8700k? Thats what id go for then.

Well id get another 8 gb of ram, maybe upgrade to a better cpu, but id rather just save some more cash and buy a new motherboard and cpu at the same time. Maybe getting the 8700k, but for $500? hmm, new ram, new psu and lower your game settings. Wait till you can spare more money for the cpu upgrade.

Well the thing is that im doing a school prodject and im going to overclock the cpu, but after seeing Linus new video he mentions that some cpus dosnt support overclocking. So I wondered if this is the case with this one aswell. Im just going to run some games and underclock and overclock to see if there are any difference in fps. My real gaming rig is in my profile I got a 710 graphics card for the tesing aswell cuz i dont have a hugh budget avaliable Im going to test csgo, dota 2, pubg and some more games. I could share the results with u guys if you want them?

Gonna build something OP? get 2 titan xp and like 900W get a 8 slotted ram and like 3400mhz 64gb. Custom watercooling(with cool lightning effects) m.2 ssd drives about 3 tb? and 10tb hdd. The 8700k or the i9 chips. with a custom made chase and rgb fans with rgb strips. Now that would be cool, but this? this is just a very normal setup, but if you ever get an titan you probably have the cash for a better psu?
