  1. I'm looking for a good sub-woofer or speakers for my Yamaha RX V383 (https://www.richersounds.com/yamaha-rxv383-blk.html) to combine with my eltax jupiter 5.1 speakers(not the best but still good [enough] ). After my Onkyo TX NR414 died and i switched to the Yamaha i noticed the low end is not as deep and a bit lacking no matter how i setup the AV receiver and toy with the settings. Are there any good sub woofer or speakers (only front ones would be enough) that i could buy?
  2. I'm thinking of upgrading my Sony RF985RK headphones. I won't need to buy an amp with the headphones (probably) as I've got a onkyo tx-nr414 (for my speakers) and u phoria umc202hd (for my mic). I'm thinking of either the beyerdynamic dt 990 pro or akg k701. Are there other headphones worth looking at?
  3. My friend wants to buy my r9 290x 4gb (msi twin frozr) and a fx8350 will his 550w bronze psu (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01C3FFLZ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) be able to run the setup with or without any OC or under-volting?
  4. AMD R9-290X http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/radeon-r9-290x-review-benchmarks,10.html without oc (the efficiency in these tests is 100% in reality its ~90%, add an extra 15% for a high oc, add the HDD, LED, Fans, Aio onto that and etc. Anything under 600w will be cutting it a bit too close
  5. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7M3RsZ is my build, it pulls 620w from the wall after overclocks and etc. 700w would be optimal for the psu efficiency curve.
  6. I have a system that needs 700w, thought it looked good for the price.
  7. I have found this psu (https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/XFX-PRO850W-XTS-Gold-850W-Fully-Modular-Power-Supply-Unit-XPS-850W-BEF-/263477392748?_mwBanner=1) fully modular 850w 80+ gold xfx. Is it worth getting or should I pay the same for a new modular psu? (The postage for me is £5)
  8. I already have on set of these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UFBZOLO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) is it worth getting a second set and trying to combine them? i can afford a 4 x 4 GB set but it seems like a waste of money due to the current prices. I've read that this can cause system instability but a lot of people say its rare and some say their systems are 100% stable.
  9. I'm planning to buy the i5 7600k and 16gb ram, I've got £100(ish) to spend on a motherboard that supports overclocking. What would be the best motherboard for that price? I'm currently thinking about the 'asrock z170 pro4'.
  10. I have a budget of £350 and i'm not sure what graphics card(s) to get. I'm using an fx8350 CPU, (however its not the bottle neck as in games the card hits 100% and the CPU tops at 60%) and i want to make sure the new graphics card does not get bottle necked too hard. (second hard cards are not a problem for me). My ideas: Sli Gtx 970 Gtx 980ti Gtx 1070
  11. 5.5GHz clock, less than 70% usage on 60fps medium/high 2k settings on; black desert online, rainbow 6 siege, bf1, metro (2033/last light) redux, ps2, dark souls 3, etc. On higher resolution the graphics card carries the load... GPU: r9 290x 4GB. The GPU is the bottleneck.
  12. My fx8350 is doing 2k high setting @60 just fine

  14. would this be a good upgrade? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ywqBpb
