If motherboard is good enough then upgrade just the CPU. I had a similar GPU (5600XT) and the moment I upgraded to 5800X3D from my 2700X the GPU could finally spreads its legs. If motherboard is good enough just add more RAM. 1080TI should still be plenty and if you're running into VRAM issues first lower then texture quality. Once you're on low/no longer find it pretty only then consider a GPU upgrade.

Agreed, the 1080ti should be fine for VR, especially if comparing to "budget builds". Look to the CPU first. I had a 2070S until this past summer, which isn't that far off of the 1080, and it still performed admirably in VR. I was very happy with it.

It's not a big deal. My cat also likes to sit on my case sometimes and I don't even have installed filters on the top and still I can't see his fur inside my case whenever I clean it. So don't worry, you'll be safe

The kitty (cute little thing!) may be attracted to the heat coming off the computer and/or the view outside the window. You might try putting a shelf or some other perch by the window (maybe add a heating pad during cold weather) and place a sculpture or potted plant (one known to not be of interest to cats) on the the spot the cat is currently homesteading.

No you should wait until April for the Ryzen+ refresh for a better product at similar price point.

@ickyvicky125 The 460x will only accept 120mm fans in the rear.  We typically build our 460X cases with an H100i V2 in the front behind the top two front fans.  But if you're planning to run only a rear 120mm radiator, you can fit an H60 easily.
