  1. Honestly, the only reason I'd nab an on sale 6GB 1060 over an RX 480, is because of the extra VRAM. As well as ShadowPlay, and what may be better drivers. I've seen that the RX 480 outperforms the 1060, and that the DX12 and Vulcan Support will be superior. Similar things were said about Mantle. Idk.
  2. My i5-2400 is the Intel equivalent of your CPU, funny that we ended up with the same GPU. I guess great minds think alike I'll honestly probably just get an RX 480 4GB, and hope the Drivers don't shit on me again. However, if a 6GB 1060 goes on sale for $185 or less on Black Friday, I'll snatch one up real quick.
  3. Hmm, what about a 4GB RX 480? Newegg has this Powercolor for $170 https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814131706
  4. Yeah, I'm just worried that if I get another AMD card, that it'll just shit out on me after 3 years again.
  5. My setup is very old, I've been running an i5-2400 and R9 270x for the past few years. The AMD card has been acting up a bit the last month or so. I've reinstalled the drivers a million times or so to no avail. I figure it's time to leave Team Red and pick up a new Nvidia card. From what I've heard, ShadowPlay is far superior to VCE. I'm just so sick of installing AMD drivers. I'm trying to pick up a card for the holidays with at least 4GB of GDDDR5. Somewhere in the 140-160 range. I've been checking out the 1050ti, particularly MSI's. https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814137055 The Low Profile Variant seems nice, especially since it uses less electricity, I figure it runs cooler. Would probably last a bit longer. However, I read that AMD lowered the price on the RX 470 to compete with Nvidia. The RX seems a bit greater in performance. https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814131705 Am I looking at the wrong cards, any advice is welcomed. I've been out of the market for a few years, so I'm somewhat ignorant of the current standings. Thanks, Dyson
  6. Hi, I am having issues with ICS and remote desktop. My desktop is connected to the internet through a laptop ethernet port, the laptop to the wireless router we have. The desktop is assigned the IP:192.168.137.1 However, I need Remote Desktop to function, in order for this to work, I need the router to recognize the Desktop. The problem is, the router uses the range 192.168.1.x So my ICS-Powered Desktop cannot have a port forwarded to it... If I set another IP in the adapter settings, the Desktop cannot connect to the internet, plz help me figure this out.
  7. OS Already Mentioned: Win7 SSD : Sandisk Ultra Plus Mobo : MSI Z77A-G43 Bios does see the SSD, when booting to it, it gives the error.
  8. When I boot into my previously functioning SSD, I get this message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" I have my SSD as boot priority, and I've also tried booting without any other drives installed. Windows 7 is installed on the SSD.
  9. NVM For some reason it is now showing up.
  10. Would a hardware adapter switch work? If it were plugged into the modem. http://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-Splitter-Connector-Adapter-computer/dp/B004FRGDH8/ref=sr_1_28?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1425398650&sr=1-28&keywords=network+switch Or is there a better way to get faster speed.
  11. not yet I will when I get back home.
  12. http://www.zyxel.com/products_services/pla4205.shtml?t=pso this is bull?

  14. I have recently acquired an Asus n66u. I have my modem plugged into the router with A 5e cable. from the router I have A powerline adapter plugged in. finally I have my computer plugged into another powerline adapter. My internet speed when plugged directly into the modem, is 100 Mbps. when routed through the power line and router, I get a down of 42 Mbps.I cannot plug the modem directly to the power line because it will not work. the cables powerlines and router , all support more than 100 Mbps. I thank you for bearing with my speech to text and I appreciate any feedback on how to utilize my internet speed. Thanks
