My setup is very old, I've been running an i5-2400 and R9 270x for the past few years. The AMD card has been acting up a bit the last month or so. I've reinstalled the drivers a million times or so to no avail. I figure it's time to leave Team Red and pick up a new Nvidia card. From what I've heard, ShadowPlay is far superior to VCE. I'm just so sick of installing AMD drivers. I'm trying to pick up a card for the holidays with at least 4GB of GDDDR5. Somewhere in the 140-160 range. I've been checking out the 1050ti, particularly MSI's. https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814137055
The Low Profile Variant seems nice, especially since it uses less electricity, I figure it runs cooler. Would probably last a bit longer. However, I read that AMD lowered the price on the RX 470 to compete with Nvidia. The RX seems a bit greater in performance. https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814131705
Am I looking at the wrong cards, any advice is welcomed. I've been out of the market for a few years, so I'm somewhat ignorant of the current standings.
Thanks,
Dyson
