So, you're an optimization junkie who's running single channel mem?  Noice

So this new monitor has been announced for all of five days, and it's a disgrace that desktops haven't caught up?  Not to mention, there's a decent chance that it's an overclocked 240hz display

Omo, that's the point of a forum dude.  A place to share thoughts, advice and opinions with the other forum dwellers.  By posting anything on a forum you are implicitly agreeing to get responses, whether you want them or not

Well if you notice his post history he has this little crusade against LTT's merch ads to the point where you can find his posts under most recent video topics. It's quite amusing actually, I've come to expect his posts just as I expect LTT pushing their merch ?

I guess he got second wind since he was done in late August

Damascus reacted to Princess Luna in Ok 60hz Im done with you. Help me down grade my monitor.
Only Blizzard and some specific MOBA like games (League of Legends/DOTA2) don't have it, they claim it's unfair advantage having more real field of view (even though they are fine people playing 240hz vs 60hz but w/e).

Any triple A game you'll want eye candy will run extremely well on this resolution with the target of 100hz~120hz using a 2080, support is wide spread to pretty much everything already.

It's fun that you'll even get more performance of your card, 4k is still fairly more demanding than 3440x1440p.

Damascus reacted to Jurrunio in Type-C to external GPU
Type C is just the name of the connector, there are phones with type C port that supports up to USB 2.0 only.

There is such thing as Thunderbolt 3 which uses the Type C connector at 40Gbps (3.0 is only 5Gbps, 3.1 10Gbps, 3.2 20Gbps), tho non-video stuff only gets to use 32Gbps which is equal to PCIe 3.0 x4. Such enclosures do exist, like the Razer Core X, Gigabyte Gaming box, HP Omen Accelerator etc.

thank you guys for the input, I guess I have played games previously on my 1080p 60hz laptop and havent really had too much of an issue with tearing and i feel like 60hz to 75hz isnt going to be that much of a difference, the fs range is also pretty small being 38-75, I was already leaning towards the 144hz monitor but this thread pretty much sealed the deal, thanks!!

Most good tier lists do that, look at all of the respectable motherboard ones
More laziness and internal strife...  What is going on here guys?  If you want this list to be an authority, put in the effort to make everything clear and concise instead of using a barely consistent grade school level ABCD scoring system.  (Not trying to pick on you specifically, everyone involved needs to  either get this into a well organized list or stop cramming it down the collective tech communities throats)

Because we can't be bothered enough to create a tier S with only a few highest end PSUs.

    First question: s i n g l e r a i l
Second question: That's what the limitations of a tier list do. Unless you do it in spreadsheet form where you can rank PSUs individually within a tier...

Good question. I've been asking the other tier list creators this for a long time now...

Tier list limitations, unless in spreadsheet form. Unfortunate, but that's what happens ig.

Again, limitations of the tier list. I proposed a tier B+ for added flexibility, but no one else apart from Luke supported it...

Watercooling a 1060 will cost you at least $150 - 200, at which point you're way better off selling it and buying a 1660 ti or better with the money, and get way better results at the end of the day
