  1. I am looking to upgrade my graphic card to a 3080, for the HDMI 2.1 port and also retain gsync compatibility on my B9 OLED, I also have two separate 27" monitors I wish to hook up the computer, but since only one of them can use DP I am looking into retaining my current NVIDIA card and use that to drive the two 27" displays, also as it will hopefully allow the 3080 to dedicate all its resources to the B9, I am curious if this sort of setup multiple GPUs of different model but same make to drive separate displays, is possible and if there are any issues I should be aware of, thank you for any help.
  2. I need some help with IDing RAM in a computer of my father, we know it is 1x16GB Hynix/Hyundai 2667MHz but we would like to know the CL timing and or where we can source a second stick of 16gb to get duel channel up and running, thank you for any help.
  3. Here in Norway the 3900x has actually gone down in Price since launch by about 70 USD ?
  4. I used to play I am still memeber of a group, so I may take a swing at it again, what is your ingame handle?
  5. Is there another youtube milestone or is this it? I mean will you get a platinum button at some point?
  6. Between 7500-8000 usd, about the same as Jobbe03, stuff is expensive here in Scandinavia. And that is exluding my TV which I only use with my computer, and bought as a comuter screen until I got the ROG Swift I have now, so if you wanna count that, add another 1500 usd
  7. I was about 14-15 when I put in a soundblaster pro, and the 1x CD-rom drive into my family's 80386 based computer. The cd drive didn't even have a cd tray, you put the cd-roms into a cartridge and them put the cartridge into the cd drive like a big diskette. I think it was around 1990-1991, this was my first physical moding, as for software modding, I started that around age 12, with writing config.sys and autoexec.bat files to run games, and eck out as much of the base ram one could get, while at the same time set up ems and xms ram, which ate up base ram, an interesting balancing act. Ussually you were always chasing that hard to get limit of 600k of base free ram for use with high end games like Falcon 3.0 or Wing Commander.
  8. It doesn't taste like chocolate? Please a "Cash Hack" Tshirt...that would be dandy tasteful Luke, you are such a babe, only 24ish....man I suddenly feel like an old pig now... That gameport to usb dongle, will not be as good as a new usb based joystick Linus, at least that was my experiance with my old Thrustmaster stick, mapping was dodgy and so was detection too. Also you need to finish the X-Wing campagin, at least the Death Star trench mission, you run it at insanse speeds, instead of the x-wing going at the bog standard 100 you run at like 400 instead, and it is like a very challanging testing ground run, just even more fun/hard
  9. I will still go for the higher watt rated PSUs, because of noise issues. The higher the wattage the PSU has, the more watt you can use without the fan spinning, and also even if the fan starts up it will be at very low revs so it will still be near noiseless. Also bigger PSUs then to have even better 80plus ratings, Titan is the highest as far as I know and again that means less wasted power. Of course all of this is ment for a big ATX or tower case build, so in regards to an ITX or other small form factors there is a definite merit for the smaller PSUs. In the end I am just happy we have all the different form factors so we all can make the build that suits us each induvidually the best.
  10. I have no experiance with Zotac what is their QA like and RMA rate, compared to other nvidia manufactors?
  11. Linus, you need a better brand name for your STDS award, instead of the Stuff That Doesn't Suck, abbrivate it Stuff That doesn'T Suck, STTS, and then then shrink it further to ST2 which will be much less of a mouthfull, and roles off the tounge easier, which is always good
  12. Besides being a proud memeber of the water master race, another good reason for not using coffee is that it is a "grown ups" drink. Growing up with parents who looked like living proof of life after death before imbibing coffee, made me sware to myself never to take up that perticular vice. So if you do not drink coffee, you have a better claim to not having grown up and hence having a better alibi for goofing off and being a child at heart.
  13. I found your youtube videoes the first time while looking for new computer case. Watched your reviews on the NZXT 820, 630, and Corsairs 900d.Got what I needed from that and sort of forgot about Linus. Then some time later AMD's Mantle got announced, and I was reading a discussion thread in Norwegian news article about it. One poster guy linked to TekSyndicate's channel, I got a bit hooked on that. Looking through The Tek's archives I found a video were Logan tells about a convention where he and Linus were both staying at, and how Logan hijacked Linus' wifi signal off his portable HDD, thereby saving Logan a pretty penny on hotel wifi charges. That made me laugh and want to see Linus' reaction to that event. It turned out that Linus was a pretty cool cat, and so I dug into the archives at LMG and liked what I saw. That made me subscribe and sign up at LTT.com. To me the best video was the behind the scenes look at LMG, I like to get to know the presenters on a more personal level as it makes me feel more conected With you as a person, and not just faces on a screen. That means I do like the WAN show a lot also as it is a very adlibed version of you and not as scripted as say some of your other videos. As for what products I would like to see you review in the future I will say, stay with what you are doing now. Get us Tech tips, DIY advice and other custom tips, do not try and branch out too much as it will dilute your focus and niche. Maybe one thing that would be fun is to start reviewing how well supported games are for extreme resolutions, surroundgaming, game review with a more narrow focus on the bleeding edge of PC Tech stuff etc. In other words become the "Top Gear" of pc gaming, a place where ordinary people come to dream about extreme gaming experiences
  14. Lets not forget that LMG is almost at the 200 million views mark too! It currently stands as of 9.11.2014 at 197 563 119 views.
