ad1das got a reaction from Meln in RTX 2080ti - High temps :(
Im not sure if the order of the components matter, but i always do, in your case i would do, Pump > GPU > Rad > Res > Pump. You seem to have the order in a backwards fashion. It looks like you have it going Pump > Rad > Gpu > Res > Pump. It is also coming in at the bottom of the res, to then work its way out of the top, which seems to me that would have to make the pump work harder, instead of using the natural flow of things going from the top to the bottom. You may not be getting proper flow.

ad1das got a reaction from raekaos in x570 Chipset Waterblock
Don't forget that it has Wifi 6 as well 802.11ax! Ill try and take a picture of how much room you would have with a graphics card installed. Granted i have a water block on my card, so it is significantly thinner than if it had the stock cooler on there. With a water block you may have the proper clearance to put that heatkiller on the SB

ad1das got a reaction from devdeep in Need decent Graphics card for video editing etc.
Both of the above options are good for what you need and the price. If you wanted to bump up, the 2060 Super would be a good bet too since it got the upgrade in vram vs the original 2060.

ad1das got a reaction from W-L in EK-Vector Aorus RTX 2080 Ti RGB backplate Question
It really depends. I managed to use my stock EVGA back plate with my EKWB waterblock by attaching the 4 corners of the back plate with long screws. I had to do some modification of the back plate in order to make it work, but it works. I had to utilize my dremel to make things happy. If you have a little bit of know-how, you can definitely make it work.

ad1das got a reaction from TooUnskilled in 5700 XT custom cooling
Jayztwocents literally just did a video on cooling this card, and essentially said it isnt worth it. He found that doing a more aggressive fan curve, was equal to water cooling it. Granted it was louder, but no extra money was spent.

ad1das got a reaction from Eunoia in Which rx580 should I go for???
I would honestly bypass the 580 and just get a 590... they can be had for about the same price on newegg.

This post makes me sad.... that much money spent, and it looks like something that a blind kid put together

ad1das got a reaction from LukeSavenije in RTX Questions - Problems? Two Card Cooling?- also, Alienware
Save yourself some money and build your own system.... you can get a case that flows much better than any dell case, and you can put a nice 2080 or 2080ti in there with no worries about cooling. I have my 2080 on water, and have had it since release with no issues .

ad1das got a reaction from seraccc in SLI 1070's or new 1080Ti/RTX series?
One Stronger card over two weaker ones... always.

Cheat less, and ish like this wont happen....

ad1das got a reaction from XR6 in Hard drive making a knocking sound
I would honestly buy a new replacement drive and just try and clone the old drive to the new one. You can get a 1 TB drive fairly cheap or just get a 2TB 7200 rpm drive and call it a day.

ad1das got a reaction from Rex_G in The BS GPU Market
So you need a 1080ti to play simcity? What games are you playing and at what resolution? If you are doing 1080p, a gtx 1060 would suffice.

ad1das got a reaction from FUR1AN in UV Coolant Additives or UV Premix Fluid? Brands?
I've used Primochill's UV pink and UV purple dye with no issues. Since i use the Primochill soft tubing, it comes with the sysprep and The liquid utopia. The liquid utopia is your protection against algae and corrosion, it works great.

ad1das got a reaction from r3loAded in Side business builds
Makes sense. Aside from using dual channel or quad, ive always been a fan of multiple sticks just in case one goes bad, at least you still have another to get you by until you replace them. Nice builds none the less, i was just curious

ad1das got a reaction from martward in Is it possible for me to move my os to an ssd from a hdd?
It will work if the data you are cloning is less than the capacity of the new drive. 1TB hd with only 300gb used, to a 500gb ssd = no problem. It seems that you need to clean some stuff up by moving it to another drive prior to a clone, or get a 1TB ssd I use acronis to do clones all the time.
