I'd gotten a black a while ago, and it's pretty meh. It's an HDD. When I scored them, the black was about 30mb/s quicker than my blue, but I bought my blue used and it has 25,000 hours on it, so...

Not really a big deal either way. I'm not even sure a 5,400 rpm drive would impede gaming performance unless it's one of those games that likes to chunk a lot of things in at once anyways.

The black is higher performance.  That's just a fact, but will you notice the difference?  Eh.. not likely imo.  Especially for $40 more, I wouldn't do that.

    Why WD?

How about this? Still a wd drive https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145476

Id go blue, you won't notice it.

Or one of these, just as good, a bit cheaper https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178993

All hdds are about the same, no one brand is much better than others.

Don't expect any game changing if your current drive is defragmented. If it's not, defragment it. You're not going to get magically faster with spinning rust, so try to reformat your current drive before going out to spend your hard earned $$.
If you actually want to speed up your load times, buy an SSD. Most people don't play that many different games at a time, so if you get a 240GB OCZ Trion 150 and move your current games onto it, it will be much faster than the HDD could ever get.
