  1. So I have an old CRT TV from Bang & Olufsen so the sound is really good, but the image quality is quite lacking as its from 1994. Then I got the bright idea to just throw in an LCD panel and somehow hookup the builtin speakers to that. Does anyone have any experience/tips/recommendations for this process? Or does anyone know if it's even at all possible? Obviously I will not be using the old inputs after the conversion.
  2. I have my PC plugged into an outlet multiplier, like a surge protector, just without surge protection, and I assume that would be the culprit then as I have tried removing the screw and it made no difference. I live in Denmark if that helps.
  3. My PC sits on my desk which is wood, so no carpet or plastic. My PSU is screwed in properly yes, but one of the screws is slightly different because I lost one of 4 screws. It's about the same length, so it doesn't touch anything inside the PSU, but I assume either way, that this screw likely be the culprit?
  4. When I touch the rear end of my case, I get shocked. it is very mild and doesn't hurt, it's just a slight tingle. My question is where this is coming from and what's causing it? I've checked that all the traces on the motherboard aren't touching anything and that every part and cable is seated correctly. Just to add, sometimes the shock is a bit harsher and it will also extend further out, meaning I can touch one of the audio jacks on my DAC and feel it (though not as strong as on the case) A couple of times I have been able to feel it through my keyboard as well because of the metal backplate. The problem has been persisting for about a year or so because I was kind of hoping it would just go away. But other than feeling a physical shock, it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects on the PC.
  5. So I just picked up a Chromecast and adapter from HDMI to AV cables (the ones with yellow red and white) and plugged it into my Beovision Avant 32. I had my Wii and Playstation 3 plugged in before to watch Netflix and it worked. However about two months ago while using my ps3, it didn't "auto switch" to the input like it had before, the ps3 was on and everything. I never got around to fixing it and I've now dumped quite a decent amount of money on adapters and cable (and or course the Chromecast) so if any clever heads out there know what the hell to do, I'd be very grateful. Keep in mind it's plugged into the coloured plugs and not a SCART plug or S-VHS.
  6. Clean it out for dust. Dont think that keyboard has a dust cover, so this could create electrical interference which causes it to not work.
  7. It's unlikely to have an actual effect on audio quality (unless its a somewhat low quality cable, and there is some kind of electrical inference in your room). You could just use electrical tape, though I would suggest, opening up the headphones and unplugging the cable from there (assuming its not soldered and your skills allow for that). Other than that, if they are still within warranty you could try an RMA, as long as you have been using them normally and not completely abusing them. I would try the RMA first, because as soon as you open the headphones, your warranty will be voided. You could also get a new headset but I suppose that's a last resort for you, as those aren't the most high-end headphones.
  8. When I touch the thumbscrews on my case and some of the USB ports and also the line out on my DAC, I can feel some electricity passing through my finger, it isn't painful but definitely noticeable. I have tried doing a complete clean out of my system (dust-wise) and checked all the little traces on the mobo to check that they aren't touching the case in any way. It's strongest at the DAC, so I suspect that's the point of origin. I have the SteelSeries Arctis pro and GameDAC and the Aorus gaming 7 for my mobo. I have contacted gigabyte, and I expected, they provided no help whatsoever. They just asked if I had installed the standoffs.
  9. Did you try turning it off and on again?
  10. Well some people maybe just find it more valuable than you, for example if they play fast paced games all the time, or some games that suffer from tearing badly. I don't notice it in games too much unless i actually look for it, however some are more observant than others. I just kind of feel like you answered your own question, as there isn't really that much to it.
  11. Post your opinions on this: Will 21:9 ever become the standard aspect ratio or are we gonna stick to 16:9? Not just talking about monitors, but TVs, productions, etc, etc.
  12. Why? (other than color accuracy)
