  1. Hello, today I noticed that around half(the right half) of my monitor now has horizontal lines going across it, from top to bottom. I've tried everything I could think of to remedy this (changed HDMI cable, updated drivers, checked BIOS to see if it was just windows 10), but the lines are still there. Would anyone know what the issue might be? I've included a couple photos to show the issue. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I work for a SMALL high school in New York State, and kind of fell into this job of social media engagement and aesthetics for our athletic department. We are looking to improve the way things are done around here with better videos/photos to engage the community more. I'd like to take videos from the sideline of some of the games from all sports to show to the community and, ultimately, put together the end of year highlights video (which I'd love to just NAIL this year - though my Premier/After Effects skills are lacking). I'm trying to future-proof this department, but the more reviews I find on different cameras and the like, the more confused I become with what I'm actually looking for and need to make this all work. SO...What I'm asking is: What kind of camera would be best for what I'm attempting to do. Note that, as a department, we have no lenses yet, so we are not invested in any particular brand. I was thinking of the Sony a6500, because of the 4k and IBIS. Thoughts? Opinions?... Donations? Thanks for any help you might afford me.
  3. I don't have that extension, yet it works on SOME videos. I don't know. Thanks for the reply!
  4. I'm simply curious as to why this is, but I've noticed that some youtube videos are preview scrub enabled and some are not. Is there a setting that up-loaders use to make them so, is it a buffer thing, or just random causality? Thanks!
  5. I LOVE the look of that external Rad! Oh, MY! Aside from the cabling, this is BRILLIANT! Well done!
  6. I'm in the middle of my build and something I hadn't considered before I got everything together was PC fan connections. The case comes with 3 fans - 4 pin, and I'm adding two (maybe only one) additional fans - also 4 pin. What the crap am I plugging these into? There are a bunch of connectors on my MOBO (ROG Strix x270) for fans - all described differently in the manual, which is the confusing part. The last time I did this was when molex was the way to connect, so I'm not certain what i'm dealing with now. Help, please!
  7. For any one person that wants to use it - it came with my MOBO, I think. I'm not going to use it. This code gives the first person to use it 20% off Cables. Full promo rules here. Coupon Code: asus-57bca5ef9f2ff-2 This will only be usable once, I assume. I don't want to hear that it doesn't work - that just means someone else got to it before you did. Enjoy!
  8. And then there's this in the MB's Specs: 1 x M.2_1 Socket 3 with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/21100 storage devices support (both SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*1 x M.2_2 Socket 3 with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*** The M.2_1 socket shares SATA_1 port when use M.2 SATA mode device. Adjust BIOS settings to use a SATA device.** The M.2_2 socket shares SATA_56 ports when use M.2 PCIE mode device in X4 mode. Adjust BIOS settings to use SATA devices. This is what confused me in the first place. Thanks to all those that responded!
  9. I hadn't really thought about doing it until today. I haven't actually seen any bechmarks comparing NVME to NVME in RAID 0, so I'm not sure it would make much of a difference. I was just curious enough to try it.
  10. OOOH, well that's good to know!
  11. Yeah, I found out the date that Ryzen was releasing 4 hours after I placed my order. Oh well.
  12. Great! So, I could effectively run the GPU on 16x mode then?
  13. I've already bought the parts, but I'm concerned now that what I'd like to do may not work with the CPU I purchased. I'm looking to do gaming and content creation affordably, so I went with the following: 2 - Corsair 500GB NVME m.2 1 - i7 7700k 1 - 1070 ROG Strix 1 - Z270E ROG Strix Motherboard I'm looking to RAID 0 the M.2 drives using 2x4 lane PCIe, and use the GPU in 8x PCIe. Since that will be using all the CPU's 16 PCIe lanes, would there be any conflicts with USB's or SATA drives I might add later? I'm not keen on how those work, if at all, with PCIe.
