  1. Rendering takes a hit, but I usually also have Photoshop open, as well as multiple browsers and tabs. I also work as a web developer.
  2. The first thing I do with new devices, if I can, is re-install Windows. From what I have seen, really only Microsoft products ship with no bloatware.
  3. From what I have seen, that may have been the case years ago, but I have seen the programs we use work amazingly on PC, as well as macOS. I am usually around a power source somewhere when I work/school. The only time I see using straight up battery is during crunch time/deadlines and media consumption, which is every night before bed and if I can't sleep. I will watch movies and shows in bed.
  4. Everything is transferrable. I do not need macOS or Windows. Adobe save files are the same across the board and that is really all we are using right now.
  5. The classes have Macs, but they are not required. We use Adobe Creative Cloud, and nowadays there is no issue with cross-compatibility using those programs on Macs or PCs. The MSI is just a hell of a lot of power compared to the Mac.
  6. That's is basically my struggle. I do like the simplicity. A few years ago, I would have said the opposite lol.
  7. Hello. I have an opportunity to trade my 2017 13" MacBook Pro (i5/8GB/256 GB SSD w/TouchBar) for a MSI GS63VR 15" Gaming Laptop (512 SSD+1TB/32GB RAM/i7/1060). Obviously the specs are really good compared to the MacBook, but I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the MSI and would be as so kind as to share their experience and perhaps offer some advice or suggestions. I don't know too much about them. I am in school for Motion Grpahics, so those specs would come in handy. I also do web development on the side. I like to game a bit, too. Both devices are still under warranty, too, and are in excellent shape. Thank you in advance for all response, help and advice!
  8. Hi. I have been switching displays while playing on the PS4 Pro. When the wife doesn't commandeer the Sony 4K/HDR, I will game on the TV. When she does, I will switch over to the ASUS IPS 1080p monitor that I have. I don't know if I am looking at this too hard or if anyone else has experienced this, but it appears that not only does gaming on the 4K/HDR set look better, it seems to play/perform better, as well. I notice that the frame rate looks to be more stable, I guess, on the TV. When I switch to the monitor, it seems a bit choppy. I wouldn't say it stutters, but it definitely does not seem as smooth as the TV. I don't know...perhaps it has something to do with the TV helping out through the features on the set, like the motion settings and monitors do not have those features. I do have the Sony in game mode, though, and everything should be disabled to minimize input lag. I swear...frame rate is the one issue that keeps me wanting to go back to PC gaming. Anyhow, does anyone know anything about this or have any experience with this? Thank you in advance for your responses!
  9. Will do! Thank you very much for your time and help.
  10. Thank you. Do you have a suggestion as to what I should set it at?
  11. Thank you. Will it just run at full speed all of the time?
  12. Hello. My question is pretty much what the title states. I don't want to run an extension or even try to run across the board to the next available system fan header, so I am wondering if I can plug my regular system fan into a pump header. Thank you in advance for your help!
  13. Hello. I am building my wife a PC for general web browsing, uploading photos, live video (no editing, just like Facebook Live), work stuff (spreadsheets/word/email). Basically, it will not be anything too heavy. I have all of the components ready to go. I should add no GPU, only going to us integrated graphics. All I need to do is pull the trigger on the CPU. I am open to any and all suggestions, but right now I am looking at the Pentium G4500 and the i3 6100. If the Pentium will work, that would be great...budget wise. Thank you in advance for any and all responses, suggestions and help.
