  1. Done it with the MB outside of the case, with another graphics card, but still "dead". I'm going to get everything packaged and see if I can test the CPU in another motherboard. Hope it is just the cpu, thanks for the help.
  2. Thanks for the info. I did the cmos reset by either ways (Button and removing the battery, but nothing. I already did the double checking in all connections, I'm doing it again with the motherboard outside of the case

Specs: i7 6800K Asus X99 Deluxe II Corsair Dominator platinum 4x4GB DDR4 3600 EVGA GTX 1080 Classified Corsair HX1050 NZXT Phantom 820 Yesterday I left my computer turned on, this morning I woke up and browsed the Internet for a while, suddenly the computer turned itself off, stupidly, I tried to start it again, it turned on but shut off after a couple seconds, i did it twice, then it just "died". The third time I tried to turn it on, I got a Q-Code 00, with all fans spinning (including Graphics Card) and a Red CPU Light. Then I disassembled the cooler (NH-D14), took off all cables except the 24-pin, 8-Pin cpu and the 2x8-Pin for the graphics card, checked every cable (power, mb 24 pin, cpu 8 pin, vga 2x8 pin), reassembled the screws: Nothing. Re-installed cpu, graphics card and DIMMs (installed only 1 DIMM), nothing. Swapped PSU, HX1050 -> EVGA 850 B2 (Working right now on my 2nd computer), nothing. I had a look at the cpu socket but found nothing, neither the in the cpu. In addition, there was no smell of "fried" components. I don't know of it is dead cpu or dead motherboard, any thoughts about how to discover that? Knowing if the motherboard is the problem would help me a lot, because asus rma sucks, they don't cover any products bought outside Brazil (I bought the mobo in US), but the law say different: Since they sell this product here and they're a global brand, they should cover my product. (I hate those Asus guys so much) If the CPU is the problem, I can simply contact intel and get a new processor.
  4. I would go for the PG279Q because i don't like the Acer Predator design, although, these are among the "best" gaming monitores you can buy. You can look for the AOC Agon AG271QG, which has lower price and apparently better color accuracy with almost same specs. These monitors listed above are in general good options, but some of them lack IPS (except the MG279Q, XG2703 and PX277), so check if IPS would be a big deal for you (for most gamers it isn't). You should also look for G-Sync if you got NVIDIA card or FreeSync for AMD Cards. (S2417DG and S2716DG both have G-Sync)
  5. If you tested it in something trustworthy (Prime95 for example), then you should check your GPU, back to stock then increase it in small portions (Core and memory separately), something like 20MHz should be fine.
  6. Disable it. OC it manually, i would go for something around 1.25v then bumping up the clock until it gets unstable, overclocking in mid-range platform is generally easy, you should be fine. (But take that 1.45v off immediately) Best of luck.
  7. Isn't it controlled by the silicon lotto too? I have some friends with Haswell-E that had those issues, although they could go up to only 3000MHz mostly.
  8. I'll do, but i want to test this on a Skylake/Kaby Lake system first (the memory kit is meant to work with these). XMP should do the job, but we're talking on insanely high frequencies for Broadwell-E, i don't think the memory controller can handle this without some tweaks.
  9. Recently i bought some new parts: i7 6800K, Asus X99 Deluxe-II and a 16GB kit of Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3600MHz (that one with the "airflow" to cool the sticks). Just like i expected, XMP didn't worked, after setting it on, nothing happens, just a permanent black screen, i had some sucess downclocking it to 3200MHz and lowering the latencies (14-15-15-35 2T), although, wasn't that stable (BSOD every once in a while), so i went all the way down to 2666MHz 13-14-14-31 1T, which i found very stable. (Always 1.35v) Now i'm looking for a way to bump it up to 3200 or higher with good stability (24/7 usage), i tried raising the VCCSA to 1.2v and VCCIO to 1.1v, didn't helped much, should i bump it even more? How much is a safe limit for those voltages? Any another useful thoughts about this are welcome. Thanks. Memory info: http://bit.ly/2kcCku7
