  1. Maybe some more ram might help, helped in my case, gta 5 went from 45fps at ultra to 83 after adding another 4gb stick to my current 8gb, i used a rx 480(my friend's gpu) and a 7700k. But could have been something else, i'm just telling from my personal experience.
  2. So i recently built a pc,my first built abt 2 weeks ago,the specs are as follows:- cpu:- i7 7700k Cooler:-Corsair Hydro H60 Motherboard:- Msi Z270 Tomahawk Ram:- 12gb corsair vengence Black Ram(A 8gb stick and a 4gb stick) Ssd:- Samsung 850 evo 250gb HDD:- 2tb segate Psu:- Evga Supernova G2 550w Case:- Nzxt phantom 240 The only thing missing from my build is a gpu which i have about $260 left for a gpu and i was planning to go team red on this one, with a Asus Rog strix Radeon Rx 480 8gb. Yes ik a gtx 1060 gives me a better bang for buck but in 4-5 months i should have enough to get another Rx 480 to work in crossfire. My question was that, i have read some forum posts saying that a radeon card isnt the best pick to go with a intel cpu it reduces performance, so is that a myth or does it affect performance, if so then how much ? Thnx in advance.
  3. And if you have made your mind for a one plus 3 then you should check out Moto Z, i have been using it for a month now and i am more than pleased. And for a fact that i used to have a Nexus 5 32gb before this running Cynogen after they stopped supporting it, so for a phone to replace that is a big thing for me.
  4. Well you should check out the Lenovo Z2 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-ZUK-Z2-Smartphone-Snapdragon/dp/B01J62AXYK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486992049&sr=8-1&keywords=Lenovo+Z2+plus Has some pretty good specs for that same budget
  5. You still have the trusty H100i n if u dont overclock i think it can take everything u throw at it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019EXSSBG/ref=twister_B00IAJ0X5A?th=1 Besides the one u chose is pretty good too if u dont plan on overclocking so yeah, go for it!
  6. If u can do with a non nzxt cooler ill recommend this :- https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00SIKYZJ6/ref=twister_B00IAJ0X5A?th=1 (Has a 280mm radiator ) I've had some good overclocking experiences with corsair Hydro series coolers. In fact a H100i v2 managed to keep a 4790k overclocked at 4.7 to abt 72-74 on my friends system.
  7. Sorry for being a lil late (had college), got some free time today and was browsing thru some psus on newegg and saw this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/N6X2FT/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1 Fits in my budget, satisfies my systems 321W need is a gold + and is fully modular. So how abt it ?
  8. So m building a rig and have everything else up and running except the graphics card as i couldnt decide which one My specs being CPU:- i7 6700k Mobo:- Asus Z170-E Ram:- 16gb HyperX Fury Black SSD;- Samsung evo 750 250gb HDD:- Segate 2tb Case:- Nzxt phantom S240 So i do have abt $250-$280 left for a graphics card, and i am torn between Msi Gtx 1060 Gaming X 6gb and the Msi RX 480 8gb I do plan to upgrade in the future (After 9-10 months). So wht i plan to do is sell my gtx 1060 when i need to upgrade add some money and get a 1070 or 1080. Wht i wanna know is if i get a RX 480 will i compromise performance for upgradeability. As i feel like adding another RX 480 for crossfire is going to be much easier for me. Something tht i cant do with the 1060 as it doesnt supports sli. Also i cant get a budget raise to get a 1070 insted for another 4-5 months due to budget constraints (m a college student so.....). So wht r my options as most of u guys r experts and this is only my second build (the first one was a fx 8350, R7 build). Thnx in advance.
  9. i was thinking maybe this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Mp2rxr/deepcool-power-supply-dq550st Also how abt the VS series from corsair ? i can get a VS650 for abt the same cost. Also the seasonic s12ii 520w fits really well in my budget so if u think its going to cut it ill go with that.
  10. Wht if i go semi or non modular ? The one u suggested costs $210 where i live (India).
  11. So m building a rig and dont have much experience with the psu part, trying to make it look good so i was going for a modular psu, The specs are :- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hBpxWX Also i do plan to upgrade the gpu in the future (swap it out with a different one after 2-3 years). .Itll be used for gaming, recording/streaming, editing(Mainly Vegas Pro and Photoshop). So wht i wanna know is, is the power supply that i chose good enough, as i did see some ppl online blasting the Corsair CXM series for being bad for gaming rigs. Also if someone would like to suggest something else in the similar budget range(dont care if its modular at this point, will just spary paint it with plasti dip and make it work, do have experience with spray painting psu wires, gpu's, ram's n pc cases so shouldnt be a problem). P.S.Had a strict budget of $1300 so m already going $33 higher might not be able to go any higher than that. Thnx in advance -Chris
  12. Agreed n checked it out,it does require a bios update which is availabe on Asus's website. Just gotta pop the update in a FAT32 flash drive n install it, since i got a laptop too it shouldnt be a concern.
  13. Wait so can i not add another graphics card even if its not in sli ? Like i plan to add another 1060 or if i still got budget constraints maybe a 1050 for tht lil extra performance boost. Coz if thts the case then ill wait, save up n get a 1070 instead. -Chris
  14. So m working on my second build now, the first one being a fx 8350 Black edition with R9 290x. Being from india the stuff is always a lil overpriced, but there is a really small price difference between a i7 6700k and a i5 7600k (the latter being a lil cheaper). I plan to couple it with a MSI Geforce gtx 1060 3gb armor ocv1 (do plan to add another 1060 later), 8x2 Kingston Fury ,mounted on a MSI Z170-A Pro. So back to the question is a i7 6700k better than the much newer i5 7600k, did compare them on cpu boss but wanna know if someone got a different opinion considering the 1 year gap in their launch dates and the $50 price difference (As i see it on amazon india). Thanks in advance. -Chris
