  1. anything up to or around ~$250 would be where I call it. I updated my post to put a price limit in there.
  2. So as stated in the title, I am in the market for a new keyboard. My daily driver is a full sized? (has a 10 key) corsair strafe V1 with cherry MX blues, which I have been using for the last 7ish years and have thoroughly enjoyed. However it is starting to show its age at this point and I think its time i give something else a try. With that said i was hoping for some advice/recommendations for another fullsized keyboard with similar features and feel (other switch types that are similar to cherry mx blues). I understand that there is a newer version of this keyboard with cherry mx reds, but having tried it, I found I really enjoy the tactile feel and noise of the Blue switches. Additionally any key cap sets you could recommend feel free to add, price range can be up to ~$250. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, -Pulpypanda
  3. Ideally 1080p ultra at 144hrz, with the goal of hopping up to 1440p at 144hrz. (Sorry for the delayed response, got a bit busy yesterday.)
  4. Cool! Any suggestions for different parts would appreciated. If you could throw an explanation in along with the new parts so I can follow along with the thought process I would be greatly indebted to you.
  5. Thanks! This is what I was thinking and was okay with considering the 3700x's performance with non gaming workloads. And the benefit of going up to a 3800x didn't seem worth the price.

With that being said I am unsure if the new 3700x will bottleneck a 2080 super. My use case will be predominantly gaming at 1080p ultra 144hz (ideally) with some light blender, CAD and video editing work. Any help or knowledge in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time, - Pulpypanda
  7. I might but I was just wondering if they're safe to delete cause if they are I will just make a batch file to delete them on boot every two weeks
  8. So I noticed today that my SSD was filling up really fast, after a little bit of digging I found my windows TEMP folder is sitting at almost 70GB of CAB files. I understand that these are supposed to be deleted after 7 days but I have some going back to almost 7 months. Is it safe to delete anything after 1 month ago (date modified). Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, its partially a troubleshooting issue and partially a windows problem. (Specific directory for this is C:>Windows>TEMP)
  9. $100usd or under? I'm not sure, I don't know a good starting point with wireless. My budget is pretty flexible if they are worth the price.
  10. Hello Everyone, So I had an idea for a video, which could be posted on either techquickie or on the main LTT channel. The idea is to cover the basics of radio technology and where it fits in today's Tech world as many people have the feeling that radios are old technology. However radios are being used more today than before especially with the advances in RoIP (radio over IP) and digital two way radios and repeater systems that mirror many of the functions of cellphones and their technologies i.e caller ID, trunking, gps tracking and many more all while using an "old" technology. Please let me know what you think and what could be added to it. (Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but I didn't see a a video idea forum while on mobile)
  11. Hi everyone, As the title says I'm looking for recommendations on a cheaper pair of wireless head phones for gaming, I'm currently getting a new mic (blue yeti with boom and pop filter) and was looking to try a pair of wireless headphones to pair with them. I'm looking to do so on the cheaper side, as I usually like wired sets but am looking to try wireless to see if I like it and if I do I will buy a decent pair to replace them. Sorry for the long post. Any advice is appreciated, Pulpypanda
  12. Thanks man, ended up being windows temp files which wasn't properly showing up and contained like 140GB
  13. To keep it brief my C: drive contain my windows 7 pro x64 bit OS, as of right now the total used storage reads at a size of 344GB, however after perusing through all the contained files (including hidden files) only adds up to about 180GB which includes only a single game from my steam library (Rainbow 6 Siege) which has a file size of 60GB. Anyone know of a way to track what is being stored on my SSD? I know i can't defrag it and i have already ran regular disk clean up as well as cleaning up system files and yet nothing has been changed. This is being stored on a 500gb samsung 850 evo, Any help in tracking down the used space is greatly appreaciated. It is worth noting that i moved this OS using samsung data migration tool from the other SSD in my system. My PC specs are: Intel Core i5 4460 8gb of crucial ballistics RAM DDR3. 600W corsair PSU MSI z97 Gaming 5 MOBO GTX 960 Strix 4gb GDDR 5 120BG Samsung 840 evo 500GB samsun 850evo 1TB WD black caviar
  14. Makes sense because that 30% is only going to be taken off the top end in any case, which would be seen in a server setting due to the high work loads.
  15. Lets assume a multi-purpose station. I.e mid range editing and gaming. Sorry for not qualifying.
