Was thinking about that Silly Question: Is there any chance that any sort of malware might be able to get past a factory reset?

Thanks for the reply, They use two different .apk files and give them pretty much full access (7:40 ish in the vid i think) Do you think it'll be too dangerous?

Hey everyone, So I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which I was given and I factory reset it but to be able to use it, the previous google account needs to be logged into and out of. The person who gave me the phone now lives far away and doesn't particully want to give me access to the google account that they use for everything, fair enough. So I looked around how to get past it, and I began attempted this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klB-MGXZ9BE which involves downloading some third party software on the phone to get past it. How dangerous would this be and if worse case senario happened would I be able to get reset the phone and get rid of any malware? Cheers, Hugh

Hey everyone, thanks for the help! I wasn't having any issues, just have never done it before and was wondering what was the best way to do it. The reason I want to clone instead of a fresh install coz it is my uncles pc, and he is only gonna be checking it for weather and tides, etc and I dont want to mess with his files. I will have a go with Easeus or Acronis and see how that fares!

Ahoyhoy, I need to make a copy of 80gb HDD (which has the OS and all) to a new 120gb SSD, to replace it as a boot drive for an old pc, what is the best way to do it/what program do I use? Cheers, Hugh

there is nothing in slot 2 and there is no slot 3 ok im starting to under stand now my overclock is has the FSB at 395 at a x 8.5

there are 2 slots and nothing is showing up on any of them

Thanks for the replies. It is 1 x 4gb 1333mhz and 1 x 2gb 1600mhz in a775 board which runs the memory at 1066 when not overclocked

So how do I calculate what speed it is running at? Thanks, Hugh

Update: Just restarted it for a second time and didn't encountered the problem and the steam game which was downloaded (but sorting out game files (Disk Usage only)) continued but then about 1 minute into it the problem starts (System and Anti Malware Service Executable according to task manager) Also, apparently Updating world of tanks doesn't cause and problems (there was no Disk Usage problems at the time) but when I try downloading steam games i get problems
