  1. I am looking to purchase a high end gaming laptop for regular gaming as well as audio/video production. Specifically i'm looking at the Razer Blade 15. My question though is about lifespan. In my situation I can VERY rarely drop this kinda money on anything and I want something that will last. I have heard stories that after even a year or two of use gaming laptops begin to perform significantly worse. So how bad is it really? Will it still play new AAA games well in two or three years?
  2. I mean, cheaper is better, but i havent set a hard budget. Definatley not over 200.
  3. So I am looking for an external disc drive that also plays blu-ray. Bought one on amazon that claimed to do this and it didn't work. Just want something that functions as a disc drive and plays blu-ray and dvd.
  4. So I am preparing to start using a 4 monitor set up with my rig. I want to clarify I am only using one monitor for games. I was wondering if having the other three monitors on but idle will affect gaming performance in any meaningful way. The resolution of my main gaming monitor is 2560x1080. two other monitors are 1920x1080 and the last monitor is 1600x900. Can anyone tell me if these other monitors will meaningfully affect performance. I'm running an i5 6600k and a GTX 1070 with 16gigs of ram.
  5. Hey guys, im looking for a very specific monitor and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. What i want is a 2560x1080 resolution, at least 34", g-sync, ips panel, 120 hertz, curved. Im not sure if a monitor exists with all these specs but if so please let me know. Thanks guys.
  6. Thanks for the good responses guys! seems like I can run most things but will be lowering settings and will not be very futureproofed. Ill probly just opt for a 2560x1080 monitor instead.
  7. So im putting together a new rig and I want to have it speced so I can run a 3440x1440 monitor setup well. I am wondering what level of GPU i will need to run my games at 60fps, also im wondering if my CPU will have any bearing on how well I can run games on that high res of a monitor. I have a GTX 1070 already and would like to keep using it but im not sure if that is realistic. I am also concerned with futureproofing, how long can I continue to run modern games at that res. The games I plan on running are as follows. Fallout 4, Mass Effect Andromeda, GTAV, For Honor, Star Citizen, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and other games like that. Mostly open world RPG's and action games.
