$40 for a grey key is always getting scammed in my eyes.

I use a 42in 4k monitor on my main desktop. Its the same PPI as a 21 in 1080p monitor, so pretty normal for desktop use when its a bit farther away. Its actaully a higer dpi than a 1440p 32in monitor. Great for lots of desktop space.

eBay is a horrible way to make a valuation of something, as the prices are inflated due to their fees, people bidding because they get caught up in the action, etc.

Good price, but I don't think I'd ever trust mass storage to a refurb drive.

The developer can't give a timeline for how long a game will remain popular. No one has that kind of crystal ball.

I don't really know what this will do beyond making companies give the ability for people to host the game on their own after they decide to stop support. So congrats to the dozens of people they will play those titles I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

They should absolutely be charged. They don't know it's a joke, they acted, which cost the fees it did.

Only an idiot "jokes" about that in an airport.

Simple case of fuck around and find out.

New build, but depending on what you play at what resolution you might be able to ride out that 1080 for a while.

Virtually everyone has a phone, I know almost no one with a tablet.
There's just not as much demand sadly. I've often been shocked by how weak the tablet ecosystem is.

5600x. Maybe more RAM, as it's cheap. Then save up for an entire system upgrade.

I don't think it's as much them taking your data as it is bad actors being able to indoctrinate the vulnerable. Like the case of the US serviceman that set himself on fire.

I'd be glad to see this gone, though to be fair I'd be glad to see most social media gone. Such a waste of most people's time.

I'm not sure I understand why highlight lead. you are not drinking this water.

Lead is often found when braising metal together for water use, and as far as I know, only banned for POTABLE water. And saying it raises serious concerns when Igor doesnt say that seems like mising the point.

Also I guess I need to be a metallurgist to understand the complaint that Copper H90 is only 90% copper.... When that is what the H90 means.

AIO's do not get handled day to day. you install them and then theyre left alone until they die and get tossed out. That isnt enough lead to cause an issue to consumers. Just being near to lead isn't going to make anyone drop dead. Same for anything else unless they're using radioactive compounds in the coolers.

That being said, it is weird that lead is used at all to begin with, and it should be removed by the manufacturers and all of that, but since it isnt an active/immediate/large scale health issue im not suprised that there isn't a lot of coverage.

7/10. Nice, but you didn't get the LTT colorway, which IMO if you're collecting them as you say, doesn't make much sense 😉

I went with the Megapro driver instead of the LTT one. 90% of the performance, 1/4 of the cost. Standard bits.

I don't think people critiquing it means that they're jealous. Sometimes someone judging your financial choices is simply not in line with what you spend your money on. I, for example, could have easily afforded an LTT screw driver, but spending 4x the money on some differences that wouldn't matter to me is a waste.

2/6, since collecting merch screwdrivers is pretty cringe. So is thinking people's criticism of your financial choice to buy 3x more screwdrivers than necessary to be 'jealousy'.

dizmo got a reaction from Eigenvektor in NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang: Don't learn computer science. The future is human language (AI code generation)
I'm pretty sure back when AI images were simply blobs trying to look like something, a lot of people were laughing saying it'd never amount to anything. Yet look at the strides it's made in the past 2 years alone.

To say it'll never be able to do something is ridiculous and very short sighted. You simply sound like the line workers in a turn of the century auto plant, or the people who tend to countless horses during the rise of the automobile.

I get the shots at him saying things like this, as he does have a massive vested interest. At the same time, and for the same reason, he likely sees things many don't, and knows what's coming down the pipeline.

dizmo reacted to Eigenvektor in NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang: Don't learn computer science. The future is human language (AI code generation)
The more I think about it, the more I think he is wrong. This will actually raise the barrier to entry. If anyone can use AI to write programs or at least automate simple processes that previously required programming, then only people with exceptional skills will be able to make a career out of it. Just as AI is taking jobs in other fields, it will take low level jobs in IT.

Yes, John Doe in accounting will be able to automate some of his workflow without having to involve a developer, or learn anything about software development. But in return Jane Doe finds herself without a job, because the need for an in-house developer is gone.

So I guess in a sense Jensen Huang is right. If you want to be a pro-athlete, you better be very good at it. If you want to be a developer, you better be very good at it. Anyone else, maybe think about moving into another field (that isn't in danger of being replaced by AI…).

dizmo reacted to OhioYJ in Wyze cam security breach
So hopefully, this was something misconfigured, or  a bug and not an actual security breach. However we'll have to see how this actually shakes out. I'm still watching this, as I have many Wyze cameras at my house, and my family, and the inlaws use them as well.

That being said, any inside the house are on smart plugs and actually powered off when we are home. The ones outside, are on smart switches, so we can actually kill power to those as well.
