Jealous, I paused mine and I'm just going to let it go overnight. Toooo slow. What didn't you like about Android 12?
  2. So far its taken my Pixel half an hour to install a 12MB update, and it's only half done...

IDK why Pixel updates take so long.

When they released the big update in February or March the update took like 4h to complete.

The whole aesthetic was IMO worse than 11. The fact that no matter what I do I can't choose the color of the font on my homescreen really irked me.

Ahhh I just use Nova Launcher so I guess it's something I've ever noticed. There's usually an app that will do what you want though.

There are downsides but by the time you'd graduate they'll be so desperate you could basically ask for whatever pay you wanted. Doctors are already getting $3,500/day to go to underserved communitities, on top of flight and room/board.

Plus your education is pretty much paid for or at least heavily subsidized if you're part of the forces.

Yeah, that's why I suggested it. They pay for all schooling (tuition, books, any fee related to classes) plus you get a starting rate of $27k/year while you go to school. You do have to give service at a 2:1 ratio to schooling, but by the time you're 38 you could be out of the forces, no debt, and you'd likely have been making $18k/mo+. Realistically closer to $24k/mo. With relatively low chances of being injured when deployed.

  5. Honestly raising the price $150 doesn't change a whole lot. Your last post still has the answers.

  7. Oh that's not a terrible price for the CPU. The AMD card is decent, as long as you're fine with any possible driver headaches you might come across.

Haha, yeah I'm not sure how Ford will make this beast handle. It'd be interesting to see how it performs though. But $300k? Ridiculous. You could build a fully decked out 911 RS for that, and possibly even have some cash left over.

You're also offering baseless speculation on other employees getting incentives, unless you've seen something about that pay scheme posted somewhere; I have not. Guess what, not everything is going to be nice. Factual or otherwise.
  11. People complain about value, but value is completely dependant on the individual purchasing the card. If one streams, for example, Nvidia cards are generally better with their software suite and added features. I myself find Nvidia cars far more stable, and that is definitely worth spending the additional money on them.

If shareholders exist, which they don't in this case.

    Shame about that price tho.

Yeah for that money I'd rather get an actual GT3 RS 😄

A friend has a 996 GT3 and it's absolutely brutal. Drove with him once the thing is glued to the street and accelerates like a squirrel on meth.

I mean let's face it, these kinds of cars aren't really for the hard working dude who likes fast cars. At least not brand new. These are for people who already have 5+ other sports cars and don't care too much about money.

I mean...true...but those people are also probably not going to buy it when you can buy 2 911s for the same price. It's just horrible value for the money, in a segment that already isn't a value for the money segment. It's almost a slap in the face to Ford fans. "Here, we made a car that's basically a GT3...but we're going to charge you 2x the price for it. Enjoy!"

Part of me is also just salty because the car looks sick and it would have been interesting to eventually see them for cheap 😂

Though, my 911 project idea will likely still be my fast car for cheap route.

  14. eBay is your friend, though with a budget like that you're going to find it hard pressed to get moderate gaming in there. Save up and have a budget of $500 and you're going to have way more options. Keep an eye on many auctions, use sniping software, and you'll eventually win something for a steal. Welcome to the forum.
  15. Right but you said "so $850US" which is completely irrelevant
  16. On top of what @YoungBlade said, lifespan is a broad term. It's not like it's going to die when you surpass it's "lifespan"...that's just what the company tested, and had the most number of units survive. Loads of drives are capable far into the PB range of writes, so I really wouldn't be worried about lifespan on an SSD at all, unless you're buying very sketchy, or very old drives.
  17. You need to quote or tag people, otherwise they won't see that you've replied to their posts. Used is usually the way to go if you have a tight budget (or enjoy the challenge), but the 11400F is still quite an old CPU; I would expect it to be less than what the seller is asking. Have you checked what's available on eBay? Don't quote US pricing though, as it's irrelevant to him.
  18. Are you buying used? That CPU is quite old at this point, and I wouldn't be buying it new. It'd probably be best if you listed the site you're buying from. Welcome to the forum.

  20. To an extent, but not a ton. I wouldn't, for example, but Chinese devices that have a high chance of some form of malware (ie Blu, etc). I don't go out of my way to find the "most secure" devices though, as it's usually just a BS claim, or nerfs so much of the device that it becomes more of a "lifestyle choice." As long as my financials/government information is secure I couldn't care less about what other information they get about me. Welcome to the forum.

I don't believe LTT is a publicly traded company so no, it doesn't really work like that.
  22. Without a doubt. However, some people will never view LTT as the same again.
