The fact that there's any drama at all over MKB…

Haha yeah. If you put out a bad product you should expect bad reviews

There was a long Tweet from someone about how MKBHD was just trying to sink a startup etc etc

The one where he says the piece of tech is the worst thing he's ever reviewed.
  4. The fact that there's any drama at all over MKBHD's video title is....pathetic.

I must've missed it, I don't see anything in the comments either. At least, nothing at the very top that's visible.

      Yep.

Every shit points on a product should be called as is, as well as every good points.

The company behind the pin might have a hand in making some peoples shitting on MKBHD review.

The one on-board probably try to gain more traction for themselves by bashing a big tuber too.

As for the pin itself :

Would be fun watching people who uses that pin to call someone in a crowded place.

Either you say the name out loud, or you "press" digital buttons slowly, which makes people behind ya can see every damn thing.

  5. Definitely wasn't the smartest route to go.
  6. Depends where you live. Pricing varies wildly depending on your location.

Anyone have reasons not to move to the UK?

Why are the switches bad for cats? I don't think I've ever seen her cat go near an outlet but I also doubt it'd live long enough to take part in the move. The TV licence is hilarious! And far more expensive then I'd have thought it would be. Luckily I haven't...ever had cable tv, now that I think of it. I looove fog. It's one of my fav things. I'll definitely have to invest in a good pair of rubber boots though. Haha, brilliant, that's a great idea. GTA6 can't come soon enough! If not population is it based on land area?

Yeah, most likely. I'm not really sure if my mind is going to be able to wrap around driving on the opposite side of the road let alone the roundabouts. Not for awhile at least. I'll probably bus for a year or so just to get used to it. How small does a town have to be to have poor transit options? We'd also likely do a tonnnn of day/weekend adventuring. Yeah it's pretty insane. The options are almost endless. Luckily I'm not vegan, but to her it's a wonderland out there. Though she keeps trying to convince me on Wales...I just don't want to live somewhere where I can't pronounce half the street names

Ahhh ok, good to know! Though I'm not sure if I'd even have a desktop PC out there so I don't think we'd be too outlet hungry. Yeah, I think it'd be pretty much the same in terms of lifestyle, but costs are significantly lower. Power is about 1/3 less than the more reasonable places to live in Canada, cell phone plans are about 1/4 if not cheaper, internet is a little cheaper, there's far better transit so we wouldn't need 2 vehicles, and groceries. Groceries are anywhere from 1/3 the price to 7x cheaper than they are in Canada depending on the item. Plus my partner is vegan; here she has maybe 30 choices in a grocery store, there it's in the hundreds if not more. We looked up vegan on I want to say Mark and Spencers, and it returned over 4,000 results. I haven't looked too much into income tax, but it's next on the list. VAT is high, but the prices with it included are on par or cheaper than what we'd pay in Canada on a lot of things. Property tax is cheaper than the areas of Canada that are still affordable to buy in. Definitely a good consideration though! They let him back in once he left for the US?

Sign. Me. Up. Fuck coffee. Haha, shows will always show the worst though. For context: The average rent in Canada is almost $800 more per month for a 1 bedroom, and set to rise almost 15% YoY. Yeah, South Africa would have awesome weather...but also huge sharks and tons of other wildlife I'd rather not run into We'd be leaving Canada. I don't mind losing the mountains as I've lived in them most of my life, but why are the outlets an issue? What are you growing fam. Haha politics are always interesting but they're so heavy handed.

We'd only be renting briefly, but what's hell about it? It looks infinitely better than the landscape where I live now. The town I grew up in gets substantially more rain than all but the 3 wettest cities in the UK; I don't think it'd phase me much Mmm....I'd love to live there but I don't have an easy in

Ah - that's why I was confused. Dizmo is Canadian, so the comment made zero sense in the context of the post.

      UK outlets (230V x 13A = 2,99kW) are lower wattage than mainland european outlets (230V x 16A = 3,68kW).

The UK has lower wattage outlets than my home country.

      That's what I meant.

Fair enough. It's a pretty small difference though all things considered. If you need more than 3kW on a single residential outlet, you should be using a dedicated or high amp circuit. Us North Americans are stuck with ~1500W at the outlet for a standard residential circuit.

I'm probably going to talk to an electrician about swapping the B16 breaker I'm on for a C16, which takes longer to blow and will have a better chance with the inrush currents I cause.

Is this on your residential circuit at home? What kind of equipment are you using where you're having an inrush problem?

I'm not familiar enough with other standards to give much of an opinion here other than talk to an electrician about the problem you're having and ask their advice on the proper, safe, and to code way to solve it.

    32" monitor

    It'll have better PPI than a 1440p 32".

    I wouldn't go below 4k personally, but I'd also look at a 43" monitor for 4k.
  15. You can do it either way, it kind of comes down to what you want to buy and how you want to work it. I'd just get a case that has controllable fans built in already.
  16. £770 is a drop in the bucket compared to any PR grievances they'd go through if it started to gain exposure. This is less than peanuts to them. I've written off larger amounts at a paint store.
  17. eBay is a horrible way to make a valuation of something, as the prices are inflated due to their fees, people bidding because they get caught up in the action, etc.
  18. Pictures and reviews don't matter to me. I simply wouldn't trust data I find important to a refurbished drive. Period. Warranty means nothing if the data is gone. A new 8TB drive is only $110.
  19. Good price, but I don't think I'd ever trust mass storage to a refurb drive.
  20. Budget, location would both be helpful with any kind of suggestion.
  21. I personally find Nvidia cards to be significantly more stable, especially if you're playing older titles. So. That's what I'd go with.
  22. The developer can't give a timeline for how long a game will remain popular. No one has that kind of crystal ball. I don't really know what this will do beyond making companies give the ability for people to host the game on their own after they decide to stop support. So congrats to the dozens of people they will play those titles I guess
  23. Found $250 in my jacket I didn't know about. I love seasonal changes.

  24. Hmm. S24 Ultra or OnePlus 12 for $300 less...

I'll probably wait to see if they discount the Samsung Ring with the purchase of the phone 🤔

does ebay just suck or people take photos with…

People are rarely good at taking photos, and the whole app first mentality makes quality even lower. It's a people problem, not really an eBay problem.
