A 5700mah battery in something less than 5mm thick is quite a feat. Too bad they're never brought to NA.

Yup, especially the packaging side. Think Apple's Ultra CPUs are probably the nearest products to it with Blackwell's bandwidth numbers about 4x that claimed by Apple. Want to dig deeper some time.

Haha it's better than here for sure. I've looked at the listings. I likely wouldn't move there for other reasons though. Haha, I'm a firm believer of banning foreign nationals from buying property. There's no reason for it. I wouldn't even mind living out of town, there's just very little available. I'll probably wait another year and see what's happening then. Haha one of my coworkers just came back from a posting there. She said she loved and hated it. I'd avoid it for the bears. One of my irrational fears Haha, I don't think there's really a good party though. They're all fucked in one way or another.

      Edit:

Forgot to add serious talking points.

Housing market sucks completely across the board which is really rough. Sure there are some places but usually it's miles from anywhere out in the middle of empty land or in super small towns with little to offer in some circumstances.

Nope... But only one is acknowledging problems most Canadians are actually experiencing rather than pandering to I don't know what.

  6. Virtually everyone has a phone, I know almost no one with a tablet. There's just not as much demand sadly. I've often been shocked by how weak the tablet ecosystem is.
  7. New build, but depending on what you play at what resolution you might be able to ride out that 1080 for a while.
  8. 5600x. Maybe more RAM, as it's cheap. Then save up for an entire system upgrade.

Ehhh. $180 gets you a mediocre vacuum, unless you get it on sale. I got mind for $180 down from $550. It's undeniably significantly better than cheaper vacuums; the amount of extra dirt it picks up is honestly a little disturbing.

Haha, on one of the newer LTT videos they had an ad spot for them. They look like they do a pretty good job of mapping, they're self cleaning, etc. At the same time...$1,600. I'd pay $600 for the convenience, since that's the price of a good vacuum, but I can't make that kind of a stretch mentally

I consider $180 to be expensive for a vacuum cleaner, and that's about my limit unless there's something that's super compelling about it. But it's a vacuum cleaner, so I doubt that would ever happen.

We have two different definitions of mediocre then.

I still can't believe narwhals are real tbh.

  12. If you're doing "real work", wouldn't you be after a Xeon anyway?
  13. I don't think it's as much them taking your data as it is bad actors being able to indoctrinate the vulnerable. Like the case of the US serviceman that set himself on fire. I'd be glad to see this gone, though to be fair I'd be glad to see most social media gone. Such a waste of most people's time. Now I know what old people felt like when tv's were taking off. Welp.

Not true, but believe what you like. I'm not sure why you think I care what Germans do, as if that's some kind of benchmark for me. I didn't understand your point because it's rather pointless.
  16. $20 air fryer? Yes please.

  17. I wouldn't be too worried about it TBH. Most SSDs will go far, far beyond the rated drive endurance. I believe it's more of a warranty thing. They tested x number of drives, all lasted within that time, so that's the rating they'll give them so that they don't have to file as many warranty claims.
  18. I'd probably look into more storage. 1TB these days goes by pretty quickly.

Yes I'm aware. Who cares? Clearly I do. I need the towing capacity. A Sprinter van is 3 feet longer than a Cayenne, it also can't go offroad. I don't feel like driving something that large all the time. The vehicles you listed can't go offroad. Can't tow. A8 can't carry as much internally. Not very multipurpose. Saying no one cares about SUVs is so blatantly false it's laughable. If that were true, they wouldn't exist. Stop trying to push your views onto everyone as if they're fact

I guess you've never driven a Porsche Cayenne, M40i x3, and I've heard the Alfa Stelvio in it's race version is pretty fun too. Find me a car that can tow 7700lbs It's not so much range, which is an issue, or charging. It's the fact that while they might not emit a thing from a tail pipe, they pollute in many other ways. Something like 5% of the batteries are recycled, the rest are not. They use rare earth minerals. If a car gets into an accident, or even marks the underbody plate that covers the battery, the vehicle is written off and battery replacements aren't feasible. It'll only take a few more years of hard numbers and insurance companies will likely jack their rates to cover the added expense. They also throw far more pollution into the air in terms of tire wear. Electric vehicles are a stopgap solution. That's why we've seen huge leaps and pushes towards Hydrogen by some of the larger car manufacturers.

I like my vehicles to be multi purpose Electric vehicles. Unless there's quite a bit of advancement, they just don't make sense.
  22. You pretty much never get a 100% increase in what you get. That kind of hope will just leave you constantly unhappy. If you're worried about that kind of equation you're probably better off getting the 5 Pro. I'd probably get it sooner than later, as they'll ramp down production when they start manufacturing the 7 Pro.
  23. The Rivian R2 is the first electric vehicle that's really peaked my interest.

Though I still think the segment as a whole is destined for failure.

You didn't understand my point. You were making the point that SUVs were fun to drive. I'm telling you that no one ever bought an SUV for fun, because no one cares about that in an SUV. And that is what I meant with no one cares about SUVs. They're just like any other car, but in a shitty tall chassis.

And on top of that no one does care in Germany about towing or load capacity. Again, if they were, they'd get a Sprinter, which is shorter than a Cayenne with a Trailer and much much cheaper.

If you actually take your SUV off road, cool, I bet there are dozens of you. In Germany no one does. Literally no one and no one tows more than 1-2t with a car here. If you want to get shit done here, you rent an appropriate car for the job.

The vehicles I listed, I didn't list because they are particular good at towing or going off-road. Again, you didn't understand my point.
