The new iPhone with its square edges is looking awfully tempting...

They even added some home screen customization. 🤔

I didn’t think I would like the square design would be nice but my iPad has the same design and I find it looks great. My dad needs an upgrade so I might go to the 12 so he can take my 11.

@Den-Fi I would not be surprised if Touch ID returns for the iPhone 13 now that they have it on the power button on the iPad Air. They can also advertise it as a coronavirus friendly feature because Face ID has been useless recently.

They will also have a smol boi one, right? I would seriously consider buying one if I was looking for a new phone, even though I hate iOS with passion. Small-ish high end phones are so hard to find these days.

@PCGuy_5960 The 12 is expected to have a 5.4” screen and start at $650. There might also be a 6.1” variant that will likely be called 12 max (but the name is not mentioned in recent leaks).

Edit: it looks like the 5.4” will be named the 12 mini and one of the 6.1” ones will be the 12.

@PCGuy_5960 @zeusthemoose Not gonna lie since they released the Apple Watch SE I developed a lot of interest in getting one and a new iPhone 12 mini. No Wear OS watch comes close to what Apple pulled off with their Watch and the price is just insanely cheap for what it is, 380 CHF for the Apple Watch SE the way I would configure it. And I paid like 600 something for my Garmin Fenix 5X that I have right now and it has like no supported apps that you would want to use. This move over to Apple on the Mobile side would mainly be because of the Watch. iOS with Version 14 looks good for once and now actually has all the features added that I use on my Android phone too. Speaking of which I would obviously keep an Android phone around and not give up on that. I hope they improve on the Wireless charging tech on the iPhone so that it can charge faster because lighting is just eww IMO because I don't think that they would put a USB C port on their iPhones but rather straight ditch all ports and go completely Wireless which I wouldn't actually mind and kinda prefer.

ikr what has this year done with me that I consider buying Apple stuff even though I hated on them with passion.

@zeusthemoose The square design is a lot easier to hold. I always found it odd they just didn't find a way to incorporate it into the power button before. There was probably a roadmap somewhere, where they had it planned out for a future model so it would be a feature.

It'll be interesting to see how small they managed to make the 6.5" model. That's the one I'd go for.

@PCGuy_5960 You actually like phones with screens that small?
