Is it just me, or is this Computex, other than perhaps the AMD announcement, rather disappointing.

I'm waiting for Synology's stuff, I've been looking into buying a NAS soon and they're supposed to be releasing new ones.

I haven't seen much noteworthy things other than AMD, I think that's really what everybody was excited for.

ModMyMods was posting some interesting hardware on Instagram that I saw briefly from I think EVGA.

@2FA Hmmm interesting. That might be worth seeing. Though I don't see what they could really do that'd be that amazing with their stuff that they don't already do.

@Crunchy Dragon Haha I saw he also posted about Gigabyte's RGB NVMe SSD ;) Oh the levels of uninterest. Give me a regular one with high capacity to hide under a heatsink pls. I can't wait for my rig refresh though. Still trying to decide between a 1TB and 2TB SSD for games though.

Mainly newer CPUs than what are in them currently, they're still running Apollo Lake (Goldmont) chips which are finally being replaced by Gemini Lake (Goldmont Plus), or possibly Tremont but Intel didn't give any details about that architecture at Computex so I doubt they'll have those. Obviously nothing huge compared to other announcements but I want to run Plex off the NAS I buy so newer CPUs are really nice.

I haven't been sold on RGB SSDs, even before Jay made his video.

@Crunchy Dragon I think they're a neat idea...but the 2.5" drives would usually be hidden out back in most modern cases so it loses its value. The upgrade bug has really hit me. These next few weeks can't be over soon enough.

They're a neat idea, but if the LEDs are gonna make the SSD thermal throttle and straight up overheat, I'm not for that.
