Becoming lactose intolerant later on in life is one cruel joke, nature.

@TheSLSAMG Haha, yeahh that would suck! But when you're older, you've experienced all the wonderful things that come from diary without the repercussions. Now I can't even. Though, the thing I miss most is milkshakes. Cheese is pretty easy to pass on surprisingly.
If I drink a milkshake or even a float now, it's maybe 30 minutes before agony.@Dissitesuxba11s I do with some things...I can eat chocolate ice cream, but vanilla is hit and miss. Have you ever tried sorbet? I love the stuff, and it's quite a bit better for you than ice cream is.
My parents trolled me and put a large bottle of lactose pills in my stocking. They do work surprisingly well, but a bit expensive to make a regular thing.

@Dissitesuxba11s It's more ice and fruit based, and I think there's the odd chocolate variety. I tried this expensive diary free ice cream thing last time I was at the store and it...while tasty, wasn't really worth the $11 for a pint.

@dizmo Yea that's why I prefer to just worry about the repercussions later. Dairy free ice cream can get pretty expensive. I've never tried the lactose pills before. Some people I've talked to say they work.

@Dissitesuxba11s Try the pills! They're actually pretty great. Though the generic ones generally recommend taking twice as many, so I'd recommend going with the Lactaid brand ones.

@dizmo I've always meant to try but always forget when I'm at the store. Next time.
