*Sorry for duplicating*
Hi, I installed these days Ubuntu, on a 3rd WD Yellow I think, some 2006 old hard disk, and besides this I have 2 more WD Blue HDDs (500GB & 1TB) using Windows on them.
I was a fool, beacuse I didn't realised that I already have a lot of hardware that force my Power Supply (550W) and I think I might have broken the 500GB HDD which Windows 10 is installed on it. After noticing the 3rd HDD (Ubuntu one) slows my PC, i disabled it, and now I'm using only Windows 10 with them 2 HDDs.
Couple of days later, my PC is going crazy, the motherboard splash screen freeze, sometimes my computer freeze while playing or doing nothing, blue screen of death, low performance, Windows loads very hard. The very strange thing is, Windows 10 is installed on the 500GB but, when i want to boot on the 500GB BIOS tells me that nothing is in the 500GB HDD to boot, so I booted into the 1TB and it boots in windows. I reinstalled windows several times, I reinstalled it with only one HDD in it, without the 1TB one, still the same things. I unplugged the CMOS battery, plugged it back after several minutes, the PC was kinda okay, only one day, and after that day which means today, the PC gone crazy again. Sometimes Windows redirecting me to their Automatic Repair section, I've written in the CMD sfc /verifyonly and sfc/ scannow, nothing changed, even did Startup Repair, also nothing sometiems freezed in that blue loading screen after you click on the startup repair button.
So.. for tl;dr or whatever
Things I've done
- Reseatted the CMOS battery
- Unplugged the 200GB (WD Yellow HDD)
- Unplugged the 1TB HDD and installed windows on 500GB HDD only
- Reinstalled WIndows several times
- Defragmented HDDs
- Diagnosing the 500GB HDD on Hard Disk Sentinel and the software tells me "Problems occurred between the communication of the disk and the host * times." and sometimes the performance gets low or gets high
- CHANGING SATA CABLE AND POWER CABLE
- I even installed a speaker, and no error beeps
In case in somebody's wondering how did I boot into windows during Ubuntu, I used their GRUB booting, and everytime i wanted to boot into windows, the 1st priority was the 200GB HDD and I'm afraid that's the problem causing issues to my computer.
