vaiwalker got a reaction from GoodBytes in Wifi not working
use another pc, get the chipset and ethernet drivers and use a thumb drive to to transfer the files and install them in your pc.. after that you can slowly install everything else once you have network connection

vaiwalker got a reaction from JayJayJedi in Custom built pc keeps rebooting while gaming...
I just got my new ryzen setup done and running yesterday cuz my 6yr old i7 system's mobo died. just kept shutting down after abt 30 mins of normal usage. thought it was the power supply, did the paper clip test thing, the psu ran at full speed for 6 hrs before i stopped it. i removed 2 bios chips on the MB, think they were called p2.40 or something, system obviously no display but it stayed on for very long until i stopped it. i suspect it was the bios chip that died.
1) you can try the paperclip test to make sure its not the psu. let it run for hours.
2) if you have more than one dimm, try running diagnostics if your bios has it or use a 3rd party software with 1 dimm at a time
3) try a burn in test

vaiwalker got a reaction from Amir93 in Can't see a hidden file??
could be hidden by a virus. try this
Open Command Prompt (CMD) as an Administrator. Navigate to the drive whose files are hidden and you want to recover. Then Type attrib -s -h -r /s /d *.* and hit Enter. That is it. Now you will get all the hidden files and folder as general files and you can use it. http://windows.mercenie.com/windows-xp/view-hidden-folder/

vaiwalker got a reaction from Gerackr in ''Monitor not receiving signal'' because all of Bitlocker, and probaly my stupidity, help me! :( (I learned a new lesson after this)
1) i think the "technicians" just messed with you and didn't do anything at all
2) so your main drive is your 2nd hdd since you have a SSD as the main boot device?
3) bitlocker won't mess up like this, even if you shut down or restart when encrypting, it'll continue when you boot up again.
4) not sure what you mean by your drive got divided into 3 drives. you mean 3 partitions?
5) it's probably a badly seated ram or a dead gpu if you have on. reseat your rams
6) try using the onboard display if you have it

vaiwalker got a reaction from vizoomer in PC Powers on for a second and then turns off (loop)
did you overclock? if so, remove the cmos battery for 30 seconds or so and reinsert and try again.
usually the boot loop happens if somethings up with the ram. try reseating the rams one by one. easy issue, nothing too complicated.

vaiwalker got a reaction from dgsddfgdfhgs in SOLVED: PC won't sleep on time
do you have any programs open? sometimes my pc wont sleep if i had some video playing in VLC, video ends, VLC is still open, PC wont sleep. sometimes happens with chrome with youtube open.
OR
do you have any 3rd party power management software running? some laptops like lenovo come with that lenovo power manager or whatever. those shit programs usually overwrite the windows power options settings

vaiwalker got a reaction from Not The Sharpest Tool in Lenovo Yoga 520 Touchscreen sometimes doesn't work

vaiwalker reacted to LehransMedallion in I need help
Yeah, that's not good. I would go ahead and just get a new card at that point, unless you really want to fix the current one you have.
You could check if the fan is even connected to the PCB underneath (it connects to a header on the video card) and blow the card out. It is possible the fan died and needs to be replaced.

first early access game i've ever bought. never really trusted early access games. friend suggested it. pretty much the only game ive been playing for the past 2 weeks with a hundred hours in. it's been a loooooooooong time ever since ive had the feeling of wanting to rush home after work to play a game. this game is it. totally worth the 30bucks!

vaiwalker got a reaction from LogicalDrm in Is this possible?
you know you can adjust the monitors positions in windows settings right? like adjust the height of the 2nd monitor so it sorta matches with the primary one and you can easily drag stuff across?

don't think so. they were all different stories.

vaiwalker got a reaction from genexis_x in V-Sync introducing stutters and frame drops
i think that's normal. v-sync kinda locks your FPS with your monitor's frame rate. so yea, it should be 60and below if your monitor's rate is 60hz. and of course turning it off unlocks it from 60 so it goes above that, but that might introduce screen tearing if your monitor can't keep up with your gpu, or something like that. most people usually keep it off i think.

you mean the cooler right? not the thermal paste? the pump might be dying in your seidon. you could also check the temps in BIOS.
