use another pc, get the chipset and ethernet drivers and use a thumb drive to to transfer the files and install them in your pc.. after that you can slowly install everything else once you have network connection
-
try "resetting" the display driver after you wake it up. ctrl+windows+shift and press B
-
could be a ram or slot issue. try switching the slots. or just try with 1 ram and see how it goes.
-
your motherboard does have DisplayPort, HDMI, D-Sub according to the specs on the website
-
sounds like a gpu issue. could be dying. you could try using the HDMI and Displayport on your motherboard to see if the problem persists.
-
in services.msc, check if "DHCP Client" "Wi-Fi Direct Services Connection Manager Service" "WLAN Autoconfig" and "WWAN Autoconfig" are enabled and running. you can right click and start the services and check if wifi comes back

probably wont do it. i once tried, thankfully my computer is not compatible cuz i dont have TPM
-
1) try using the onboard display(if available) rather than the GPU 2) try doing a clean boot and using to see if it hangs. once with gpu. another with onboard display (if available).
-
try swapping out your ram. try one ram at a time and in different slots
-

Custom built pc keeps rebooting while gaming...
vaiwalker replied to JayJayJedi's topic in Troubleshooting
I just got my new ryzen setup done and running yesterday cuz my 6yr old i7 system's mobo died. just kept shutting down after abt 30 mins of normal usage. thought it was the power supply, did the paper clip test thing, the psu ran at full speed for 6 hrs before i stopped it. i removed 2 bios chips on the MB, think they were called p2.40 or something, system obviously no display but it stayed on for very long until i stopped it. i suspect it was the bios chip that died. 1) you can try the paperclip test to make sure its not the psu. let it run for hours. 2) if you have more than one dimm, try running diagnostics if your bios has it or use a 3rd party software with 1 dimm at a time 3) try a burn in test -
you know you can use your old cpu to boot in again and update bios from there right? that should fix it. you should be able to use your new cpu after that
-
try doing a clean boot? easier to narrow down which application is hogging the cpu

Can I create a full backup of my PC on my laptop?
vaiwalker replied to RazerEraser's topic in Windows
you could also create a folder in the laptop and share it. that way when both system are connected within your home network, you can access that folder in the laptop from your desktop. simply copy the files over -
tried running diagnostics? could be a hardware issue. might be a ram issue
-
you can do that with windowblinds. but you only get a 30 day trial. prices are here https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/download?utm_source=stardock-software&utm_medium=windowblinds-8&utm_campaign=in-app-purchase&referer=

Question A front USB port is broken, now entire PC won't start up
vaiwalker replied to hoover15's topic in Troubleshooting
I've seen something like this on a lenovo laptop before...in one of the USB ports, 2 pins were bent and and touching each other. it turned on but hangs at the lenovo logo forever. used a toothpick to move the pins away from each other and it solved the issue. also, did u try disconnecting ALL the other front panel peripherals and using a screwdriver to jump start the the pc by touching the 2 "PWR_SW" pins on the board??- 16 replies

dayumm thats one messed up bios update LOL. if you could, state the version or something so someone else could use it in the future. but then again, always have ONE SSD or HDD connected when you're installing windows. after windows in completely installed, connect your other HDDs.

so this weird issue started recently about 2 weeks ago. sometimes the keyboard won't take my key inputs when i enter my password after it wakes up from sleep. weirdly enough the num, caps, scroll keys work. im able to adjust the backlight as well. i have to use the accessibility on screen keyboard to click in my password. but it works normally once i login in that way. just wondering if anyone had this issue before. i tried unplugging and plugging the usb cable as well, it has the ding dong sound. i think its a microsoft sidewinder x4 i think. not really an issue but u know, trying to get some feedback.

bruh, try using an older cpu to update the bios for the motherboard, ive been setting up servers and HPCs for years, usually a bios update is needed. latest update - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X570-PRO/HelpDesk_BIOS/

GPU temps are normal. but damm dude, CPU temps are quite high. i think it IS supposed to be running at 3.1 since gaming needs the extra boost. not even gaming, even with normal heavy load applications, the boost will kick in. but 80+ for a cpu is not very healthy.

1) tried changing the name and deleting it? 2) tried deleting it from cmd? run cmd as administrator, enter your desktop path, type del s36c. 3) if not try this program https://filehippo.com/download_unlocker/ it might be able to forcefully delete the file.
