Hello all.
So i am new to the LTT forum, but i have a problem that i can't seem to solve.
So i recently upgraded my graphics card from a MSI Radeon R9 270 Gaming to a ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 DUAL OC.
And as expected i got a massive fps increase in many games.
However i uninstalled my amd driver, and installed the lastest from nvidia.
And now i get some random FPS drop in game. Like down to <10 FPS.
It stays at <10 fps for like 20 seconds before going back up to normal fps.
I have tried to restart the computer and close all other application, and reinstall the nvidia driver.
I did not change anything else on my system, and i did not get the fps drop when i had the old card.
My CPU temps do not go pass 75 °C
My GPU temperature did not go pass 67 °C
I do not have any other application open.
Also in the screenshop i posted of MSI afterburner, and the task manager, you can see that, the usage drops. So no other application is using the CPU or GPU Resources.
I run everything at stock speeds.
It happens in multiple games, (Overwatch, Cs go, The witcher 3, etc)
My specs are as follow:
Motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition (STOCK)
RAM: Crucial BallistiX Tactical DDR3 16GB
PSU: Corsair CX750M
Cooler: antec kuhler h20 1250
SSD: HyperX Fury 240GB (OS)
HDD1(raid1 - mirror): WD Red NAS WD20EFRX - 2 TB (game libary)
HDD2(raid1 - mirror):WD Red NAS WD20EFRX - 2 TB (game libary)
GPU:ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 DUAL OC (STOCK)
OS: Windows 10 pro - 64bit
I really hope someone here can help.
