  1. Hi guys just looking for advice, I have a 5700XT using atm with a 3950X and a RX 480 as my backup. I no longer use my PC for gaming and mostly productivity (Adobe XD, photoshop, illustrator etc) and primarily use my ps4/5 for playing games. Would it be a good idea to sell my 5700XT since i dont use my PC for gaming anymore? Was hoping to check out the M1 Mac mini with whatever I get from my 5700XT and experience the mac. But wasn't sure if I should sell it with the scalping going on. Thanks
  2. 2 days ago I had my memory OC'd from the default 3600mhz to 3866mhz this was working solid no issues and was running flawlessly for months. Yestorday my friend asked me to test out his corsair ram kit which was 3200mhz C16 (mine 3600mhz C18) and they worked fine. Popped in my memory back into the slots, booted my pc and it wouldnt go back to the overclock I had it running for a while and will only stay at 3600mhz and not sure how to go about getting it back to the OC?
  3. Currently I'm using a Gigabyte B550M DS3H MATX motherboard, in February I got a 980 pro Gen 4 SSD and put it in the Gen 4 X4 slot below the CPU and below the 980 pro NVME is my 970 Evo Plus SSD sitting in a Gen 3 X4 slot but for some reason it's running in X2 after looking at Samsung magician software and have no idea how to make it run in X4 again like it was intended to. My speeds went from been around 3200-3400mb/s read and write to under 1800 read and write and not sure how to fix the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? that would be appreciated!
  4. I upgraded my system from 2666mhz 16gb's corsair veangence 3600mhz memory but when i turned on the system and checked task manager windows was showing the old 2666mhz frequency and when i went to change the voltage timings and memory freq the system kept shutting down and not sure why its not working I have x.m.p enabled too but not sure what to do :/ specs: Ryzen 3950X Gigabyte B550M DS3H Radeon 5700XT Seasonic 750W Gold plus PSU
  5. I'm upgrading from a 2700X and was wondering could i get away with using an air cooler like a black edition 212 evo i currently use to cool a 3950X at stock speeds i dont overclock? I also want to avoid liquid coolers. Thanks!
  6. Hey guys i was wondering what your opinion is on these cpu coolers ? Option 1: https://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-MasterLiquid-ML240R-Wasserkühlung/dp/B079H8YXG8/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FF8MEMG5KMT66YQ38FCP Option 2: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07YLKPWL5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A133RA3ZUAU4I7&psc=1 I'm upgrading my 2700X's stock prism wraith cooler so when editing or gaming my clocks don't go below 4ghz at load (i dont do any overclocking just stock clocks) I also considered the air cooler above people said it performs just like some liquid coolers but not sure if i should go for that one or the liquid cooler. I'm also buying a Cooler Master S400 Silencio case and want a matching brand cooler. Thanks!
  7. (this is a random rant) So I was using the Sennheiser HD 598se's for the past 5 years and they have been doing great until my little cousin decided to snap them in half on me, Amazon no longer sells the HD 598's or HD599's in black only the ugly beige color. I have the Sennheiser Urbanite headphones too for backup but want something that's a step up from those too I was thinking of getting a pair that can replace the both of them maybe even wireless, sony wh 1000mx3's was my first option but when i heard them they didn't blow me away but now i'm thinking i should go with either the HD 660s's or the Sennheiser Momentum 3's for a true wireless experience but not too sure what to do?
  8. I'm currently using a 2700X at stock with the wraith prism, don't plan on oc'ing but i have a very air restricted case Cooler Master MasterBox 3.1 Lite but my 2700x temps go to about 83 degrees or more on load in a game like far cry 5 or any game released in 2018 or newer but don't want to have to constantly reach down to my case just to take the front panel off. I was thinking if i should get a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120R RGB Liquid cooler to bring the temps down? Previously i owned a 6700K and used a nepton 120XL cooler master liquid cooler for that and the temps were great even with the bad airflow coming into the case. I mostly chosen this cooler specifically to fit the whole cooler master theme i guess? Thanks Cooler Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B079HGN7L5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
  9. Sometimes when i restart my computer my PC will go into a random boot cycle where it turns off turns back on then shuts off completely again but after it does that it will turn on again but nothing shows up on screen. The only reason it does this is because i have my Corsair LPX 32GB 2666mhz ram OC'd to 3200Mhz, when it turns on without a boot cycle there is no stability issues in windows at all its completely flawless but sometimes i'll need to restart my pc to get rid of the active windows watermark and then it goes into that boot cycle and after it's done doing that it will reset my ram speed back 2133mhz when it should be set to 3200mhz (technically by default 2666mhz) could this be due to the fact i'm using a Gigabyte S2H A320M motherboard even though the motherboard supports a ram OC to 3200MHZ? and maybe it can't actually handle the oc? i had the voltage set to 1.35V. Thanks
  10. Hi guys i was curious to know lets say you were doing a college test based on screenshots on cpuz and you had no information such as no core speed, no multiplier speed and no bus speed besides the specification speed 2.90ghz on this core i5 screencap and you had to find the numbers as shown in this screencap can someone explain to me how do i find the core speed, multiplier speed and bus speeds? I have a test coming up and my lecture notes are super messy and not understandable to be able to find these numbers that are in this screen cap? I'm also very unsure on how the 8 and 41 are calculated for the multiplyer. Thanks
  11. Ok so i'm studying computer science and my lecture has really bad handwritting when it comes to taking notes down and i have a test next week in class on finding the multiplier and core speed of a cpu using a cpuz screenshot like this for example. I was wondering if anyone out there can explain how the multiplier is found and core speed using the information given in this cpuz screencap? Thanks
  12. I got a 2700x back around christmas and love it alot but when it comes to upgrading it in the future would it be best to wait until 6nm/5nm 5th gen ryzen to upgrade from the 2700x?

    Navi?

Will the new AMD Navi cards work on the previous PCIE 3.0? or would i have to get a new motherboard that supports pcie 4.0?
  14. I got a Vega 64 2 days ago and i've been having power issues such as daisy chaining the card off of 1 single cable to my cooler master V650 psu rather than 2 seperate cables. I'm having some "was it worth it" thoughts because i seen navi is been announced may 27th and maybe those cards could be faster than the vega 64 and more power effcienct. I got the v64 because i was inpatient to wait and now i have thoughts of regret in getting it should i return it and wait for navi or keep the vega 64?? Upgrading from a RX 480 4GB
  15. My cpu temps dont go above 75 i use the wraith prism that came with the 2700X my Gpu got hot enough to burn my finger to the touch lmao my ventilation is just fine too i'll probably try running it off of two serperate cables to see if that fixes everything gpu is stock too not oc'ing it
