  1. Step #1 you need to restart your PC Step #2 wait for ASRock splash logo to appear and repeatedly press F2 key on your keyboard or Delete key. Depends on motherboard manufacturer. Step #3 Once in BIOS find OC Tweaker Tab and look for "Load XMP Settings" Step #4 Press Enter and select XMP Profile. If you notice XMP Profile "1.0" and "2.0" / Pick first. Step #5 Once selected XMP profile it should automatically switch to highest supported frequency by CPU and if not. Then... Step #6 Look for "DRAM Frequency" and Select highest available or in your case "3200MHz" {Troubleshooting: If PC boots and then restarts that means the frequency is not supported by your CPU and should go back to stable 2666MHz. But AMD Ryzen 5 5600X does support 3200} Best of luck.
  2. I have also noticed that your current RAM is running at 1600 base clocks and not at its' advertised 3200MHz. Your motherboard supports higher voltages.
  3. Hi, I've noticed you mentioning playing games mostly on 1080p and also using Blender and other digital art programs. I would suggest upgrading to 3060 Ti especially from Brands such as: ASUS, MSI etc. I would also suggest to stay away from Gigabyte GPUs. I've bought 3 GPUs from them and all of them had to be returned because of inconsistent Wattage spikes, plus they cheap-out on some built-in parts. If you are planning on switching to 3060 Ti I'd also suggest upgrading PSU. Try getting 650W PSU from Seasonic, I've had really good luck with them and the consistency in built-in part quality is top tier. For future proofing in your case I'd get 750W but that is over your budget. For a reference I've looked up at some shops around Poland and found that 3060Ti from ASUS and Seasonic PSU combo would come around in total: 2567.98 PLN = 647.37 USD When I build PCs I usually look at what my workload is and how much horsepower I need to run all of those workloads. Then I'd look at the most demanding game I have in my library and would try to meet minimum requirements and build around the recommended systems information. If I still have some cash left I would try to balance out so that I can buy a decent GPU without worrying about upgrade in a year or 11 months.
  4. Hello, It's been a while since I've posted something on LTT Forums. But I'm in a dire need of help. As of July 9th I have noticed something happening with my Laptop and most particularly the screen. For sometime I noticed a white-like halo effect appearing on the edges of my screen and if I continue doing something graphically intense the image would sometimes burn-in into screen and neon-like blue lights would appear in the top left and right corners of the screen. I'm not sure but my guess is that built-in screen is malfunctioning. Not to mention, yesterday while playing games I've noticed a white light flickering in the bottom left screen corner, especially when the background would transition into complete dark color. I'll leave attached picture for a reference. I can repair this myself but I just can't find any reputable shop or company that has that specific screen for sale. Plus I live in North-East Europe. Thank you for your replies in advance and I'm sorry if I've violated any forum guidelines.
  5. Couple days back I have noticed strange white graph-like lines on my monitor. I searched entire internet for information on what could this be but no one had similar problem like mine. At first I thought that it might be my GPU but since I'm running dual monitor setup it's highly unlikely. I'll link some photos to this thread for people to look at. Sorry for the image quality in advance, my phone is capable of taking high resolution pictures but because it is hard to see the lines I had to zoom in. I have marked the spots which are really hard to see. The only way I'm able to notice these spots is to duck down below my monitor. In addition, the weirdest thing I have noticed is that I can only see these lines if I have sand color background. I tried white background and I can't see them, dark background.... Same thing. The only way I can see these lines on a dark background is when I'm playing a game and some dark areas of the game have this washed out darkness filter applied to them. That's when I can see them clearly. So my final questions are: 1. Can I still use this monitor? 2. Is it going to break on me soon? P.S. I already ordered a new monitor because those lines are kind of distracting. Sorry for the long post. And thank you kind stranger in advance.
  6. Yeah I've seen the difference between I7-8700 and 9700. About 7% but I couldn't decided wether it's better to have 2 additional cores or just have 6c/12th. But I guess getting i7-8700 is not that bad since Intel has nothing interesting in an upcoming year... (sadly)
  7. I have another question. In your honest opinion, would you get an i7-9700f or just stick to i7-8700?
  8. It's been a while since I have been here. But I am back because I'm in a dire situation. I can't decide which one to get. I know that I7-8700 has 6 cores and 12 threads. And on the other hand I7-9700 has 8c/8th. I don't intend on buying AMD because I have already bought parts for 8th and 9th gen cpus. Problem is that 9th gen cpus in my country are currently out of stock and their prices are inflated so high that i7-9700 (non-k) costs $87 more than a i7-9700k. Whereas I7-8700 costs around $345. So the question is would I benefit more from 9th gen i7 cpu or just don't bother with it and get an i7-8700? Main purpose is gaming and streaming from time to time. Rig: CPU:??? RAM: 16gb 2666mhz Mobo: b365m gigabyte aorus Cooler: cooler master hyper 212 Black edition PSU: 550W 80+ bronze. Thanks in advance, Netreo
  9. Ok... So I kind of got the build thanks to all of you guys CPU: Intel i7-9700 (non-K) Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B365M Elite RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb 2x8Gb 2666Mhz XMP Case: Fractal Design Meshify C-TG PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 550 Gold (But I am thinking of using PSU from my previous system Corsair VS550) Without PSU I saved $97.39 With PSU: $0.10 saved P.S I know that I shouldn't cheap out on PSU when building this kind of system
  10. Deal! Going for B365 board. Now question, which one? Gigabyte or maybe other? Within $115 price range.
  11. I know, right?! Flipping economy.... Hate every inch of this country. Ok.. gonna go for the black edition
