  1. Question is, what are you trying to do with your build?

  3. You might try undervolting or over volting your CPU, it may just be a low quality chip. Also make sure you are using the timing your ram is clocked at, sometimes XMPs arent accurate enough. I doubt that PC repair shop knew what they were doing, process of elimination always works.
  4. I had a similar problem on a 970, I ended up flashing the bios on the card, there's a few utilities floating around out there, just be careful because if not done properly it could brick the card, I've done zero research on your card but it might have dual bios switch? If so switch that 1st before even trying a card flash.
  5. Don't use the newest driver on the 960m, try and roll it back to an older driver, should be able to find it on the nvidia website. Rather it will work or not I'm not sure, but it's worth a try, make sure to DDU it first, and don't reboot it until you installed the older driver or windows may install one automatically on a reboot. Might try the same thing on the Intel graphics as well. Hope this helps.
  6. Go to the nvidia website and go to the driver tab and select Legacy as the product type, use the other drop menus and find your card. Download Drivers | NVIDIA https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
  7. Rivatuner, it comes with MSI afterburner, just go on their website and download it for free.
  8. To answer his original post, yeah it will run it, but for how long is the question, why risk a 400$ plus investment on an 70$ fix. Spend the extra money and get a good one, and I'm on board with going bigger than you need by a few watts for head room. Imo.
  9. Save it for when you do need something? Other than that I'm on the 1080ti train. Don't buy an iPhone please for the love of technology lol.

  11. Anybody holding out on buying an RTX vanilla for a super? I don't really feel the value is there for the money. From what I understand they pretty much have a bit more performance than their vanilla counterparts that are factory OC'd from AIB's. Personally, even fancy OC cards only offer negligible performance gains from my experience. I've already cashed out on a 2070 black gaming last week, I guess this could turn out to be buyers remorse if they're real power houses, I doubt that will be the case but only time will tell.
  12. I laughed out loud at work to this just now. Whever I have what I think are silly questions I Google them lol. Aslo logicalDrm is on point.
  13. Couls take a look at the Acer Predator Helios 300. The newer model has a 1650ti and a 144hz monitor. I was considering it myself before I decided to build a desktop because I reallly didn't need the mobility. For 1200$ us you're getting a great laptop for the price.
  14. Ahh gotchya, I was just looking at your specs on your profile, an ssd wouldn't give you mechanical failure like that obviously. There's so many things it could be, only thing you can do is unplug everything one by one. That motherboard doesnt have onboard video or I would say try that without the 2070. Some of the earlier 2070s had memory issues as well, if you have another graphics card to try might rule that possibility out as well.
  15. That 3tb hdd might be a problem, does it make any click noised before it crashes?
