After hearing @LinusTech talk about synthetic badminton shuttles on the WAN Show a couple of times.
I wanted to give my two cents and hear what the badminton part of the community thinks about them.
A year ago, at the Uni badminton team I play at we decided to give the Victor Carbonsonic shuttles a try.
They held up very bad.
Initially they flew pretty well, the spinn was more drastic and thus the shuttle fell more to the right then with feather.
This, you probably can get used to. The minor detail that ruined them for us was that with a minor miss-hit or a slice,
one "feather" would almost always fall of. With one feather missing the shuttle vibrated to the point of it being comedic.
But the great finale, was with all the shaking and vibrations going through the shuttle it would start to disintegrate in a spectacular way.
As you may have thought, we resumed normal operation with feather shuttles.
What are your experiences with synthetic shuttles?
Hopefully, some of you have had better luck then us
