If you weld the desk together then add a 1/2-3/4" wood on top, its going to be mighty heavy.

    Things to keep in mind:
Modularity - keep In mind the need to move it - allowing for some disassembly will be good for you and your back.  Perhaps weld cubed frames that are then bolted together.
Risers or wheels- for the base to prop it off the ground - be able to sweep under it slide it around so you don't ruin the floor or carpet etc.
    Cable management -self explanatory

#PCMasterRace Elitist here. I upgrade monthly to keep maximum FPS in CSGO; must have 1 million Frames!

Are you sure it doesn't matter how much you get paid? Sometimes, its okay to treat things black and white for a bit of fun. Seems to me you're lacking imagination on this one

Not sure why anyone is excited. The inclusion of mining with this platform indicates a pyramid scheme of sorts. A few will be rich, while the rest will be digging trying to make a few cents.

Good luck for those that join it.

Wow. Just wow. Someone has to ask, How many children did you sell to put this together? Easily over $20k. Very impressive OP. I'm sure that will load Minecraft just fine.

    On a separate note.
Considering the castrated thread with 4 1080ti's. I'm curious how long it will take for the type of people to ruin this thread  "You don't need that" "what a waste of money" or "your could have done this instead and bought a lambo with the leftovers".

    Good Luck OP.

    Thanks for the link!

PCMasterDebater reacted to Dackzy in Do you ever wonder what it's like to be poor?
why can't you just be happy for them? It is not like they should feel bad because they have enough money to spend a lot on things. Like who really cares? It isn't a attack on you or anything close to that.
What you are saying seems extremely self centered to me, like getting mad because someone just dropped 2k on something or be mad at the people that always buy the newest phone. Why even care about that? Can't you just be happy with what you have and be happy to see that it is going well for some people when it comes to money?

Why are you mad that some people keep their old tech? It doesn't hurt you and there is zero reason to take it personal and if they have some personal reason to keep it, then who cares. I have a few things that I don't use, but they mean a lot to me, because they helped me in some way or someone I care a lot about gave it to me.

I will never be able to understand people that are annoyed or mad because they see someone spend a lot of cash on something. It is their money, their life and if they feel like "need" it, then why not just be happy for them? It isn't like it affects you in a bad way that some people spend a lot on different things.
Hell I kinda see it as motivation, because I want to get to a point where I don't have to worry about money to the same degree as I do now.

I am personally happy for people when I see them buy something really nice, especially if they are my friends. It just means things are going well for them to a degree and there is nothing I would rather see than when things go well for people. I personally work a lot to afford the nice things I have and I save up everything I can and I don't buy things that people around me normally would. But I am guessing if I spend 2k on something and you saw it, then you would see it as a insult? That is at least what you are saying you would.

All in all be happy with what you have, instead of getting sad or mad because of things you don't have.

PCMasterDebater reacted to LAwLz in AAA Single Player Games are too expensive to make says Developer of Quantum Break
At the end of the day, the business is in control of the cost and content of their product.
Developing a game is both easier and cheaper now than it has ever been. It's just that game development companies choose to spend more money. They hire more developers than they used to. They hire more artists. They spend more on marketing. They are the ones choosing to do all those things.

The original Unreal game was created by 15 people. That was it. That includes the producers, designers, programmers, sound and visual artists. They did not use any of the convienence luxuries we have today either, like pre-made game engines. They did everything themselves.
Of course a game will be more expensive if you employ ~150 people instead of 15. That is your decision though.
I'm sure they would love to argue that the increase in people result in a better game, and I am not entirely convinced. It might be better in some regards but I wouldn't be surprised if "too many cooks" often creates problems too.

It's like with the LinusTechTips channel.
"We have all these ads in our videos because we need money to pay our employees".
The amount of videos (and games) haven't gone up from these video creators (game developers), but they have willingly increased the cost of production.
The only ones to blame for the increased costs are themselves. They are the only ones in control of their production costs.

PCMasterDebater got a reaction from Mike Soda in Adjusting Pain?
Not sure what you did to your back but linustouchtips is on to something.
For my computer set-up I have 3 different chairs depending on what sort of pain I'm in. Personally, I have injuries to my both knees, lower back, right shoulder, right hand, right wrist, and right foot. These injuries cause me a significant amount of discomfort and pain but I refuse to go on any type of pain killers.

    I use:
    1. a knee chair. - this keeps my back straight but hurts my knees; typically Ill use this first
    2. a office chair. - Big butt area so it lets me relax - removed arm wrests so I can't slouch
    3. a gaming chair. - smaller butt area but it has arm rests; so I can rest for my wrist/hand

Then I have a foot stool under the desk to prop my feet up occasionally to help with the foot and knee pain. I took 1.8inches off each leg of my desk to make it the PERFECT height. Last but no least I use a gel wrist pad to keep my wrists up which keeps the shoulder pain down.

I swap between them before games, during games, and after games. Surgery is not always the right answer. I know quite a few people who have gone through back surgery, most say they are worse off after the surgery. Low impact workouts are far more effective if you work with the right doctor/teacher/trainer.

You just come across, to me, as antisocial and very much afraid of the world. I mean yeah, it's good to have you guard up and all that. What if he just wanted to know the time? What if he needed directions because he was lost? To completely ignore someone is also a pretty good way to piss them off. Didn't think of that? Again, hands in pockets. It's fucking winter.

Something to consider, acting the way you did makes you seem weak and a more acceptable target.
