  1. I found it happens when I go afk and turn my monitor off. I turned it off and on again and it fixes the issues. Ill play with the settings. likely a free sync issue or something I imagine.
  2. Its done it again. It seems to only do it when I go afk for 10mins. so very strange. I was just playing games for a few hours and desktop is super laggy after leaving pc for 10mins.
  3. I recently upgraded from a 1070 to a RX 6700xt. This issue has only happen twice, once on drivers 23.3.1 and I changed to 23.2.2. once on each driver. entire pc because super stuttery, dragging windows is stuttery. gpu clock speed gets locked at 400mhz and is zigzagging. Never had anything like this on my 1070. Ive played a decent amount of CSGO and Phasmaphobia recently. Phasmaphobia is fine, tiny stutters when I first load in then is fine for hours after. CSGO ill have very random tiny freezes, very few and far between. Not tried CSGO on the 23.2.2 drivers. Hogwarts Legacy has been fine too. same areas that stutters on 1070 do but not as bad, thats just down to the game. The desktop stutter issue gets instantly fixed when I restart my pc. not really sure what to try. I am using a 144hz monitor. just being typing this up gpu power consumption is 44-46 watts. I assume thats normal? Not sure if there is a driver issue or something wrong with the card. I did do DDU when I first installed the new drivers. Edit: I ran 3d Mark Stress test and had no issues on drivers 23.3.1. Did the other benchmarks and no issues either. Power Supply is 600w and it does say 650w is required but im not sure its that as not had the issue when gaming. The stuttering happen when I came back after leaving pc on desktop for 10mins.
  4. I ordered the gpu and some extra thermal paste to replace it on my cpu.
  5. you're all good. on the AMD website it says 650w tdp. other people are saying I should be fine. I think its something to wait for a sale on a psu. pcpartpicker doesnt have any issues.
  6. oh, the 6700xt seemes like a nice price at 430 euro and then I can play The Last of Us which ive wanted to play forever but never bought a playstation.
  7. I thought it was a singleplayer game? Anyhow Ive been wanting to upgrade for a while so its just an extra sweetener for me. Ive never gone AMD for a Graphics card.
  8. what do you mean by that? Just so they can get the number of copies sold up?
  9. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/cheiften98/saved/#view=MvT2mG Corsair CX600M 600 W 80+ Bronze I think it will just be enough but probably best to upgrade as ive had this one so long.
  10. Ive only ever had Nvidia graphics cards. 750ti, Gigabyte GTX 960 and a Asus GTX 1070 for the last 5-6years. I play at 1440p and the 6700XT looks like a good upgrade from benchmakrs, Was tempted by the 3060ti but the lower vram put me off and now AMD cards include The Last Of Us with it. Though i've just never heard of the brand "XFX Speedster". Are they a reputable brand? https://www.pccomponentes.com/xfx-speedster-swft309-amd-radeon-rx-6700-xt-core-gaming-12gb-gddr6?utm_source=127079&utm_medium=afi&utm_campaign=es.pcpartpicker.com&awc=20982_1679228761_a3a0db623b0d194b3f4d52a4950f63c3&utm_term=deeplink&utm_content= the 6750XT likely isnt worth it for an extra 40euro. https://www.pccomponentes.com/xfx-speedster-qick319-amd-radeon-rx-6750xt-ultra-gaming-12gb-gddr6 I think I would need to upgrade my powersupply too, Ive had that 7 years. Thanks
  11. im not sure if its in my head but im fairly sure my gpu temps are lower when on desktop. 51c when i was getting 60c before im sure. 33c in my room atm
  12. eh i just deleted the partition. very weird. already moved some games back to that ssd.
  13. ive reinstalled windos and formatted my old drive after moving HLL and some other games over. not sure what this is though. What is that D drive? hmm
  14. I just wanted to copy my games over from that drive and then format the drive. guess ill have to do that though. makes no sense. very odd.
  15. this is so freaking dumb. my old SSD isnt even on the boot priority list. ill try re re installing later and format my old ssd i guess. wanted to leave it so i could copy my steam games from it. makes no sense at all. asus x570 tuf gaming plus.
  16. I really dont like this motherboard bios. I select the usb to install windows. np. install windows. I then change boot drive to my m.2 which i just installed windows. 30mins now it just keeps booting from my old ssd. makes no sense.
  17. is there a chance that it could be a faulty motherboard or cpu? As the issue started on Tarkov 2 years ago when I upgraded. Or is it because my Xeon1231v3 was bottlenecking my GTX 1070 that the new R5 5600x doesnt bottleneck so it uses more power so the issue was visible? It seems to be in only super high intense games i guess.
  18. well it did it again. uugh. will reinstall windows soon.
  19. so 210 mins so far on Hell Let Loose and no issues. fingers crossed.
  20. new ram is installed. will test out some games later. if still happens ill reinstall windows on new nvme drive.
  21. ooh right. Will update tomorrow if I play some games after fresh install. Thank you so much again for all your help. very kind.
  22. I do also agree it seems to be a power supply issue as it is 7 years old but why could this only happen on seemingly unique situations/games. For example on Hell Let Loose it never happens when im in a tank. Only when im playing as infantry. I played maybe Vermintide 2 for 1-2 hours a day for 2 months with a group of friends and had 0 issues. Running High settings. Tarkov would super bad patch 12.11 then only on lighthouse 12.12 and now this wipe its most of the maps and completely random. Very strange. Got my boot usb ready for tomorrow. See how it goes.
  23. hopefully the issue is drivers/windows. Will reinstall windows tomorrow on the new drive and reinstall programs and tarkov as I go. Just trying to find any save game files for games that dont have cloud saves.
