What do you think about this set up. Under $300 with 4.1 surround over optical and a nice sub to pair with it all plus no wires. 7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$
Turretgaming replied to Turretgaming's topic in Audio
I got the Logitech z509 working. The sub is on the other side of the wall and the left and right channels are sitting on top of the tv. I'm not using the center or rears but I am using my 1 Mii0 b I think it's called as a Bluetooth receiver and then goes to the setup. Some times it cuts out but using Bluetooth is better than putting the Mii0b in bypass (optical in from tv and 3.5 to RCA to the speakers) since I can use the tv remote to control the volume instead of getting up and turning the dial on the right channel. Its so much louder but the lows are just a tiny bit better but still not good. So it will work for the meantime. Edit: I might remove the sub from it's housing and cut a hole in the wall and mount it in the wall behind the TV so an in wall sub. It's 4-6 inches in diameter. Also it's the z506 not z509 -
7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$

Ya I'm probably going to suffer with the 2 tweeters in the tv (40mm facing the wall behind the tv) for a month and save up 1k or maybe more. Unless I can get my Logitech z509 setup from my PC to work but I don't think it has optical it only has left right RCA (2.1 the system automatically sends anything lower than 120hz to the sub) or using 3 3.5mm jacks ( one is left right the other rear left right and the other center and sub) so the best I can get from that is 2.1 since the tv only has left right RCA, optical, and HDMI arc so I'd have to use the RCA assuming the cables are long enough and I can hide them well. -

Doesn't schiit make home theater tube amps. I think it's stupid expensive but it's because it's made in the USA so I wouldn't expect cheap. You could pre amp with a tube to get the tube sound and the solid state amp in theory would reproduce the tube sound accurately like a solid state does or even a class a. -

I have a schiit stack (in the zeos pancake cause stacking is stupid) and want a darkvoice or little bear mrk2 cause I have HD-6XX which like zeos says love tubes since they are hard to drive. I've never heard a tube amp but I hear people love it cause it sounds warm and better for Easier listening vs solid state which is all about perfect recreation of the Audio. I love that zeos says a tubes job is to fuck up the sound but in a good way haha. -

Ya he recommended saving up too but I make 200$ a week at T-Mobile so it's hard to save up but probably worth it. I just wish he reviewed cheaper stuff cause most of what he reviews is like 800$ for a pair of book shelf speakers. -
Yup an SSD will always be faster than a HDD Most HDD are at 1gbps read or write if they are of good quality and newer
-
Most HDD are 6Gbps where an SSD could max out 3.1 (now 3.1 gen 1 then next faster is 3.2 gen 2 next faster is 3.2 gen 2x2 look at the techquickie video) at over 10Gbps (Gbps=gigabit per second GBps= gigabyte per second) depending on nand flash speed and controller.
-
all limited to the port speed
-
is the cooling setup the same so it can turbo boost higher?
-
and cpu too
-
those banks are the nand flash chips so the actual memory where the pcb is how we mount the so we can install them into a standard dimm and also has a controller for the xmp modes if they have it.

7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$
Turretgaming replied to Turretgaming's topic in Audio
I see. I'm still new to this. I got into audio about 2 months ago and got really into zeos(z-reviews) and it made me realize how shit my home theater setup is and how much audio can make or break a movie experience. But I'll look into the denon stuff cause they look good just a bit expensive. I might save up so I can have a 1k budget instead of 300-400. Thanks again. -
Since you can't change the speed it might not be down clocking the ram at all. Instead it's reading the chips on the dimm seeing the rated speed and trying to run it and the memory controller can't handle it. So it's not down clocked it's running at the advertised speed but since you can't change it the imc (integrated memory controller) can't run it. So I'd say get ones that match the speed, voltage and CAS latency of the original just in higher capacity so the only thing that changed is you went from 1 by 2 to 4 by 4 gig dimms and everything else is the same for best compatibility.

7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$
Turretgaming replied to Turretgaming's topic in Audio
That's some cheap stuff. They have a 7.2 for 180$ but only 80watts but still good. And if I need more power for the sub I can stick an amp in there in bridged mono. -
7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$
Turretgaming replied to Turretgaming's topic in Audio
Cause my end game is going to need them and why drop more on a receiver when the onkyo will be replaced with a cheap 7.1.2 and my end game speakers is the heritage line. But you make a fair point unless you want bridged mono. -
7.1 or 5.1 with 4k HDR 10 receiver/amp under 300$
Turretgaming replied to Turretgaming's topic in Audio
I mean the receiver is just for the ports and stuff. Eventually I want to put an amp between the receiver and speakers and use it at a pre out cause my end game is a 7.1.2 probably from Klipsch. So if it stops adding power but and output some signal the amp can handle the rest. Right?
