Thanks! Apparently I have found out that most 1440p are ridiculously overpriced where I live. So even a $300 is being sold for over $1000 US dollars. Sad, sad day.

Wow, nice guys. That sounds very encouraging  I guess i'll buy it and be happy. Will need to shell out a bit extra for the wall mount and a hdmi switch too but it's ok

Don't listen to him. You don't need a silly AIO cooler to keep a CPU in normal temperature range. Your max temperatures were fine. Maybe a bit warm since AIDA is not a demanding test but cooling is not the problem. You just lost the silicon lottery. There's nothing you can do about it. I suggest you get 4.4 with lowest voltage possible and be satisfied with it.

I'm in a similar boat, except mine runs 4.5 on 1.192-1.215v and 4.8 1.35v

I can get it to boot 4.8 with 1.280v but locks up when stress test starts.. It takes 1.350 to not crash, i think i'll leave it at 4.5 with least possible voltage and start messing with the ram

X370 boards are worth it solely if you know for sure that you're going to use crossfire or SLI down the road (which is really not something i would recommend anyways, buying a stronger card and selling the older one online is always a bette rupgrade path IMHO anyways)
So X370 not worth it for most people, R5 1600X not worth it for anybody.
Get entry level B350 boards that fit your aestetics desires, some 3000mhz+ RAM kits, again...find something cheap there...and an R5 1600...and overclock it a bit...3.8hgz/3.9ghz should be easy.

I'm not afraid of anything, if i were buying right now i wouldn't buy Intel. Why are you all so obsessed about my choice, i'm not the one making the purchase here. I'm trying to get him to buy a B board and a regular 1600

I would try removing the ssd and using your hdd as boot device. If no problems, you know what it is. If it keeps going then you can test ram

I don't know about the Rosewell but I've got a few 140 Pure wings and they are dead silent even at full speed.

To me they seem fine. I use Pure wings 2 for intake, they are super quiet. The stock fans are louder but not loud even at max speed. As for cfm, i'm not sure but for exhaust it can't be that bad to create a performance issue. The s340 elite is cold like a mfck though, or atleast mine is. The only thing i dislike is that there is no anti vibration for HDD, making it somewhat annoying

i didnt say to only trust reputed brands, all i'm saying is that you shouldnt blindly trust the efficiency ratings as a stamp of reliability either. 80+ rating and reliability have nothing to do with each other.

the Good thing about leaks in 1 scenario is that, if you have the 1000$ intel cpu and the company gives you back the money then you can go buy ryzen 1800x > 500$ profit.

My reason was that Skylake was a lot cheaper than Kaby, and the z270 mobo i wanted was cheaper than the similar z170 line up (prettier too). So i saved some money, and i didn't take a performance hit...
