  1. Okie dokie. Every significant music artist still releases physical, all game consoles still release physical, every movie ever made still gets released physical (and in multiple formats), but ok. Nobody's buying them.
  2. Obviously you can buy digitally, but as I said, it's still extremely common for people to like to buy physical. And I've never had a problem watching a movie in a computer. ? I just don't see the point of having a separate device that's just going to stay connected to a desktop all the time, when you can build it in.
  3. People still buy movies and music on disc all the time, not sure what's so weird about using them in a computer?
  4. I actually mentioned the Define R6 in my post, because it's a design I really like. I almost bought it, until I took out the tape measure and realized how big it is. It's probably more than double the size of an SFF, no? Is there nothing in between?
  5. Thanks, dizmo! I want the DVD drive because this is an all-purpose family computer, so it will be used periodically. I like to have everything in one, rather than needing to connect separate external things whenever I want to use them. And I'm really not trying to go tiny, I have a small form factor and am happy to go a little larger than that, it just seems like the mid-towers are huge to me. I'd say the budget for the case is roughly $150.
  6. Thanks! I'm not necessarily looking for tiny, just smaller than a mid-tower. I'm not sure any those would actually fit everything I want. And with concerns about noise and heat, I'm not sure I want to go quite that small. Also, since the video is 2.5 years old, are the recommendations still relevant?
  7. I have a hand-me-down Small Form Factor computer, but it's too small to fit a good graphics card into, so I'm looking to build my own computer. My budget for the build is $1000-1500, and most of the builds I've seen in that range seem to use Mid Towers. But looking at the dimensions, they seem a lot bigger than I want. I feel like I really only need a little more space than my Small Form Factor has. But maybe I'm wrong about that? I know motherboards come in different sizes, but I don't know how the size affects performance and options. I want an all-purpose home computer that performs decently for gaming, in the $1000-1500 range. What size case I should be looking at, if smaller size is a priority? It doesn't need to be tiny: something between a small form factor and a mid-tower would be perfect. Any specific recommendations would be appreciated! Goals: Size somewhere between SFF and a mid-tower Budget for case: roughly $100-150 Runs quiet Minimalist / simple design. I love the look of the Fractal Design Define R6 linked here, except for its size. Here's what would need to fit inside: Two 3.5-inch HDDs One or Two 2.5-inch SSDs One graphics card One DVD drive What I DON'T need: water cooling RGB A windowed case Thanks in advance! ?
