  1. My reasoning is the Nvidia GPU would be able to handle it at a much lower load, ultimatly putting out less heat and making it quieter. But that might be wrong. I'm just put off, that I cannot fully control which hardware my Computer should use at what time. Even if it is inefficient.
  2. Thank you, I've had a look at the settings, they are interesting. But they are not exactly what I want. After Setting Wallpaper Engine on "High Performance". It still uses the igpu. It seems like Microsoft really doesn't wants you to use the gpu as much as possible.
  3. I would be delighted if you could tell me where because I can't find it.
  4. Thanks for your reply, but I've already checked and Windows is actually using the Intel HD graphics. The Nvidia GPU is at 0% Usage while the Intel HD Graphics are somwhere in between 30% - 80% Usage. So it really isn't because the Nvidia GPU is generating a lot of heat but because the intel graphics get stressed about the animated background.
  5. Hi All, So I've been noticing that my fans ramp up on my laptop as soon as I go on the desktop (I'm using a Animated Desktop Wallpaper via Wallpaper Engine). Turns out that my laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming) Uses the integrated graphics when I'm not using a 3d application. This normally makes sense, since you don't need the power of the Nvidia GPU on the desktop or when browsing/working. But I really don't like my laptop sounding like a jet engine while I'm doing these things. So I've tried to change the power settings like this: When plugged in, Always use Nvidia GPU When on battery, Only use Nvidia GPU when using any 3d application Now I've searched the web and all the settings on my PC on how to do this, but I've just not been able to find anything. So I'm turning to you guys, any Idea how I might do something like this? Specs (If needed) Intel Core i7-9750H Nvidia GTX1650 16 GB DDR4 RAM @ 2400Mhz 256GB SSD 1TB HDD Thanks in advance Wendulan
  6. I would say: Drop the i5 and get a ryzen 1400 or 1500x it's cheaper and has better value. If you take the AMD Ryzen 1400 + The Asus Prime B350-Plus as motherboard it will cost your friend 598 $
  7. I had a look at their website and they do deliver to Belgium. As for experience, I never bought anything there because I live in switzerland but I have only heard positive things about them. If you want to buy wherever you buy your things normally you could drop down to a Ryzen 5 1600 and only 2400Mhz on the RAM that may solve the problem with the money. In the end it's your decision but I hope I was useful in someway
  8. For Cooling you should be fine with the stock cooler that comes with the CPU as long as you don't want to heavily oc that is.
  9. So I just checked and on www.mindfactory.de this config is about 549.- Euros which is well within your range.
  10. How about something along the line of this: AMD Ryzen 1700 AsRock AB350 Pro 4 ATX AM4 Kingston HyperX Savage 2x8 GB 3000Mhz (Ofc you could go lower on the Mhz) Really depends on where you buy, if you live in germany mindfactory.de is worth a look. Here's the pcpartpicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XWXR6X
  11. For AMD I would recommend Mobo: Asrock 350B Pro4 ATX CPU: Ryzen 1400 Note However that this would be about 100$ more expensive so about 400$.
  12. If I were you I would build a new Computer with the following parts: CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 GPU: Keep the GTX 750 Mobo: Asrock B250 Pro4 ATX RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x4GB 2133Mhz Case: Corsair 200R PSU: Corsair CXM 450W 80+ Bronze You could upgrade your GPU to an RX580 now or at a later time to increase your horsepower. This PC would cost you about 300$ if you use your current GPU and Harddisks/SSD You may need to save up for this for a bit longer but you would have an upgradable budget PC. If you would rather have an AMD CPU tell me and I'll look into it!
  13. Do you know BigFishGames? If not go on their website. She mainly plays games from there.
