  1. is there anything we can do to support LTT in the mean time? ive subbed to all the channels, will be jumping on a floatplane subscription once i'm home
  2. https://www.humblebundle.com/store/kingdom-classic-free-game?hmb_source=humble_home&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_1_layout_type_twos_tile_index_2_c_freegame_2020_storetile_kingdomclassic seems i have it already ECIJV-X5RWI-0IVIJ enjoy
  3. the other day on amazon i stumbled across a product using a screenshot from an ltt video Not sure where this should go, but thought it should be brought to someones attention https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eagle-smart-Capture-Camcorder-Support/dp/B08BFG96LC/ref=sr_1_12_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=camlink&qid=1600328381&sr=8-12-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzUktWQ0ZHNjVLSkdLJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDE5NTYwMlFaQlZVMVlIQzlGUSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjE4MTQ2VFlDTTI3Vk9RSDk3JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfbXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ
  4. limited on the space for the cooler, was heavily considering an air cooler but there is also the problem of the CPU being nearly directly under where the optical drive sits, also thought it might be useful to have movement of air directly over the VRM's
  5. it does make me happy to see that build listed with a 1080 and a 550 w psu, the corsair SF600 is another constraint due to sizes, I have bought the components, 1700x (which also leads me onto which aio to get limited to a 120mm ) - £240 corsair SF600 £90 samsung 960 evo 500 £207 corsair vengance LPX 3000 (2 x 8gb) £180 which have arrived still waiting on the motherboard and GPU MSI Aero 1070TI - £420 and MSI b350 Mortar - £78 but can return
  6. spent a long time looking at boards but am constrained by needing an mATX AM4 board with the top slot being a 16x for the GPU which left me looking at the Mortar , any suggestions?
  7. 1. Budget & Location Budget: around £1000-1200 Location: UK Don’t mind pushing the budget a little however, may well try to resist 2. Aim Main aim for the Build is a sort of entertainment centre, gaming, films, tv (mostly at the same time) ect. Currently my most played game is Runescape however I do have a growing library of other games that I am hoping to start playing more which I can’t with my current setup, it would also be nice to get into a little streaming / recording, even if it is just to dabble with no serious intent as yet 3. Monitors I am planning on running 2 monitors + at times my tv all 1080 and possibly in the future a projector / other tv 4. Peripherals Currently have all the prehiperials I need, looking to upgrade eventually, but not at the same time as I do the main build Mouse- Logitech m720 Keyboard –Logitech k350 Speakers – Logitech z523 Headphones – audio technica MSR7’s with modmic 4.0 I will be looking to get a copy of windows 10 pro 5. Why are you upgrading? Looking to upgrade from my laptop which has lived on my desk for the past 4 years, finally having saved enough to build a desktop, also having slowly accumulated a few games, which I am now properly wanting to play, and I’m finding that 20 fps on minimum just not good enough (picture attached) 6. Planned hardware CPU – 1700 (X?) Motherboard – MSI Mortar B350 GPU – 1070 (brand / style to be decided, probably a blower style) PSU – Corsair SF 600 Ram – 16GB (corsair LPX?) Optical – blue ray drive (eventually) Storage – Samsung 960 Evo 500Gb (long term HDD will be bought and added) Case - bit of a special case to me, the first case I was given when I started my apprenticeship, but ill save that for the build log *while it is my first build, I maintain upwards of 400 pc's at work
  8. not on the rear exhaust but as the side intake, which with the side panel on will require me to do a little moding (trying to keep in the style of the old school case) cutting 100 ish holes to expand the current side vent to 120mm size, which will sit directly behind the optical drive providing air flow over the VRM's push air into the case also help push air into the psu, there is a rear exhaust but it will mostly be blocked by the AIO at that point and it is a 60mm fan, if i keep it in at all or just leave it as another exit point for over positive air pressure
  9. ive already spent a long time looking things up, the motherboard is a standard MATX, the corsair sf 600 is smaller than the powersupply in the case already, the motherboard im looking to aim for is a MSI b350 Mortar, currently debating a 1700 or 1700x ive measured it up i can fit a 120 rad in width wise (whilst upgrading but keeping an optical, which i would like as its going to be sort of home theatre pc) main things that have stopped me buying components are the depth of the AIO (rad fans together) and the height of the block plus what graphics card to go for, think I'm settling on a 1070 but as my post says debating blower or open, leaning to the blower style, but was looking for a second opinion, also i do intend to make a full build log on it once i get that far
  10. that motherboard and card arent staying in, its just old hardware that was in the case, all of which will be removed
  11. I know I can pick up a case cheap and build in it but, this case cost me nothing and has potential for a little moding to be done to it, also there is the sentimentality of it, which is why ive not just gone and bought a new case
  12. lol, that is the problem, its a very old case, it is a project ive been looknig at working on for a long time now, it was the first PC i received at work when i started there as an apprentice an old Viglen Incepta 2 (ill just take some pictures of it)
  13. Looking at making a SFF ish build, been looking into which graphics card style to get, open or blower my concerns with a blower style is that it would be loud and with the case i am using, there isnt a great deal of potential air flow, considering removing the blanking plates in the back of the PCIE brackets so there is more space for air to flow also conderned that just getting a blower style cooler will leave me with a limited card or going for the open style but have no gurantee of being able to dump the heat produced from the case, the case i am looking to use with a good sized graphics card in will give the GPU almost its own compartment
