  1. What you are referring to is the actual hosting of the web page... the HTML index page itself is the website, its how you allow outside users from others to access that page that you want to know... which is website hosting
  2. The best headphones are stereo and not surround... Just sayin... Edit: please note... I'm not defending beats... they still sound like crap imo
  3. W3schools.com also teaches HTML5
  4. Yeah they will probably be pretty pricey over there, but if he can get them around 200$ USD then they are well worth it...
  5. If you are in college, try to see if you can take a challenge exam to test out of the course... Then you have more time to do other stuff throughout your week 0.o
  6. My best suggestion would be to first check out a website called W3Schools.com, they provide quick and easy tutorials for some of the basic and most widely used languages for web development today (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, SQL, etc.). However, if you think you'd be more interested in the more scientific programming world, you should start by learning C, C++, Java, etc. Pretty much any language you can find enough resources to learn online but if you want to get familiar with some pretty standard programming literature; O'Reilly is pretty much as standard as it gets... Depending on which rout you see yourself taking I'd suggest pursuing the following: Web Design -> Learn HTML & CSS and start playing around with Javascript and Python Scientific Rout -> Start learning either Java or C because these will give you the strongest "hardcore" programming base... (I like to refer to the more scientific programming style as "hardcore" as I'm slightly biased toward this...) Hope this helps! Not sure you read either post you quoted...
  7. I prefer IDEs for the Intelli-type when I program Java, I find in the long run that being able to auto-complete lines makes me more productive and that is literally the only reason I prefer IDEs to text editors for Java... With that said... I think eclipse sucks... but unfortunately is the most widely used IDE in the industry... however, I highly recommend IntelliJ or NetBeans... they are worlds better... Edit: Please note, I only prefer IDEs for languages that have a use for intelli-type... everything else I would suggest Emacs for
  8. So... to go back to the topic at hand... I have a pair of HD 558s and love them, and yes you can drive them with everything you already have, however they are an open style headphone and if you want to use them for mobile applications I'd suggest a closed style... The open style will leak a lot of sound and everyone around you will hear it... and if you are in a crowded room, you will still hear everyone else...
  9. I'd rather have a dick in my rear than beats in my ear... ok... maybe a bit of an over exaggeration...

    headphone

I'd honestly ignore the bad reviews about the Siberia V2s, for a gaming headset they are pretty much the top tier... If you plan to get anything better you will be in the headphone world...
  11. Right, I was just providing the most common selection that seems to show up on the forums

    headphone

Not sure, But these are a bit cheaper... not sure if you saw them... 119$ USD for buy it now... Edit: Crap... ignore those... they only ship to the USA Edit 2: Pretty much every way I try to do it they will be around 200$ or more... might wanna look for something else 0.o
  13. I use HD 558's and CHC Silverados.

Well get some other opinions before jumping right on in with my suggestion but I highly endorse those

    headphone

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Honestly though, If you can afford it, they are worth every penny. I absolutely love mine and would pay the full 200$ if I had to for them. And they are seriously built like a tank... Edit: because they are built so well they are also really good headphones to get used... ebay has them under 130$ usd here which is i think your budget limit...

    These are pure sex...
  17. A Fiio E10 or an o2/odac combo seems to be the biggest contenders around here... Fiio E10 -> around ~75$ on amazon o2/odac -> around ~250$ - 280$ from Mayflower Electronics Just gave you a general idea of prices so you have a baseline for comparison Edit: I love my Fiio E10

    MAX volume

You are pretty much going to want to look for a pair of headphones that are within the 16Ohm, to 50Ohm impedance range to achieve the levels of volume that you want... If you get something with too high of an impedance you are going to require an AMP to power them and will cost you more for mobile usage... Unfortunately I'm not well versed with headphones in that price range but if I were in your position I'd look for something with the following: Closed style headphones: don't leak sound much and better for mobile use Reputable brand: Sennheiser, Beyerdyanmic, etc. 16-50 Ohm impedance If I were in your position I'd look into the Sennheiser HD 449s / 439s. (around 80$ and 70$ respectively on Amazon) But take my recommendation with a grain of salt because again, I'm not that well versed in that price range...
  19. Sennheiser = ear sex...
  20. The main reasons for getting a DAC/AMP combo is the following: DAC -> Onboard audio sux... AMP -> High impedance headphones require more power... no amp = super low volume if they work at all... If your onboard audio is fine, which it sounds like it probably is if you said your speakers sound good... then you probably won't need a DAC. So what determines whether or not you should buy an AMP would be the impedance of your headphones if you decide to purchase new ones... Your current headphones don't need an amp because they are only 38 Ohms... The Fiio E10 for example can power up to 250 Ohm headphones. And to answer your question in this post: Most likely, I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on the ATH-M50s and multiple people have said their quality doesn't live up to their hype, however from what I've seen the DT 990, 880, and 770 pro and premium variants by beyerdynamic have all been very popular around these parts...
  21. As far as i know... the Blue Snowball, Blue Snowball ICE, and Blue Snowflake are all cardioid microphones... Only the Blue Snowball out of those three has the option to be omnidirectional...
  22. The only thing with the Fiio E10 is that it doesn't act as a portable battery bank or work with your smartphone like you wanted with the E18... However, it is a fantastic amp/dac combo for your computer for only ~75$... With that said, if your onboard audio is fine on your computer, you probably won't need an external dac at all... and will only need an amp if you have high impedance headphones... The Fiio E18 you were looking at isn't a bad choice if it is within your budget...
  23. Yeah these seem like a great choice if you can find them in your budget... You can probably get them used for under 100$ but I could only find them for around 140$ new and that's why I didn't mention them before
