  1. I would buy that flash drive in a heartbeat. Imagine if they did sell it and added LEDs.
  2. I don't know why they haven't implemented a custom path feature. Very frustrating, guess i'll have to bit the bullet.
  3. Hi everyone, I recently installed Windows 10 on an SSD and have an HDD for extra storage. My question is if I can change the location of installing applications such as google Chrome? I really want my SSD to only store Windows 10. I know some users have tried changing the drive letter in the registry but I don't know if it's safe. I also heard of people using symbolic links. I look forward to your responses. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
  5. Thanks for the info. On another note, is there a way to download google chrome without it going directly to the main drive, being my SSD, and having it download to my HDD storage drive?
  6. Ah ok. Is it safe to move My Documents, Downloads, Desktop to the other drive?
  7. I just installed Windows 10 so I don't have any programs. What about the program file folders? Some say that moving all those folders can cause corruption.
  8. Hi everyone, I recently installed Windows 10 on a SSD and have an HDD for storage. My question is can I move my PrefLogs, Program Files, Program Files (x86), and User folders, etc from my SSD to my HDD? Thanks
  9. Should i eject my external hdd when its off then plug it back in when its fully booted?
  10. Hi everyone, I recently finished doing a backup with my Windows 7 PC on a 2TB WD My Passport Ultra and when I clicked "eject my passport" it say - "Windows can't stop your 'Generic volume' device because a program is still using it. Close any program that might be using the device, and then try again later." I looked through my task manager and resource monitor an saw nothing the drive could be using. Any ideas? I don't want to break or corrupt my drive. I look forward to your responses.
  11. I fell ya. At some point I would love to build a file server or NAS, especially if I add more computers to my setup.
  12. Thanks for the info. I ended up deleting the folder and I'm currently conducting a backup now with the Windows backup utility.
