Setting up a dedicated AP for this purpose is no different than setting it up otherwise. You'll need a wired/ethernet uplink to the primary router in the other room.

I've seen Oculus recommend a wired connection for the PC and a good LoS wireless connection for the headset on WiFi 5 or 6. So if you convert a WiFi 6 router, you'll get both an AP and the ability to directly plug the PC into the AP for improved latency.

The AX1500 isn't anything fancy, but running it in AP mode for your purposes should be sufficient. I'd suggest you give it a static LAN IP within the same subnet as the primary network but outside of the DHCP pool, so as to avoid downtime on the AP when IP leases renew/expire.

Quite a bit of info here 😉

It sounds like the main differences here are the CPU and MoBo?

But Depending on what games you play, I would say go with the 12th gen - It's newer and from the bechmarks, it's a pretty good performer.

I would highly recommend probably getting a bigger NVMe drive if you can.

Firstly 128GB gets eaten up with Windows and some apps. also the smaller capacities have a lower rated speed (Commonly anyway).

    Ooh 4GB way too low.

Storage and i3 should be fine (so long as you're running literally 1 core each.

8GB AT LEAST is what's needed, especially if you're using Windows 10 with all the latest updates.

I have a client that is trying to do a similar thing on their machine, we're going with 16GB for breathing room

100% recommend getting at least 8GB, if not more, gives your PC and the guest virtual machines breathing room

if another GPU is working fine,

I would immediately check power cables, if you have seperate 12v rails on your power supply (check your manual) try plugging in the PCIe power from different rails, just in case it's being overloaded?

Simple things you could try is use a different display port on the GPU, different cable, different monitor (if you have any of these)

If you have windows on of your disks, try botting to it, give it a few minutes, and see if windows picks up GPU with at least the basic display adapter driver... sometimes (i've seen anyway) the motherboard doesn't output from the bios, but windows then does... it's weird, but always worth trying

Another one is try another PCIe port on the MoBo

    Hi guys,

I'm needing a bit of advice for a solution to continuously sync files from an unraid server to my PC's as well as other family members.

Essentially OneDrive but it syncs to my server

I'm looking at the reselio sync (formerly bittorrent sync) to do it, but happy to look at others.

    Thanks!

So we got there in the end 🙂

After running through a few edits here and there, and clearing it up a little, the below successfully works to update Azure Information automatically (So long as the details in the CSV are correct)

    #Connect to Azure AD - Make sure you sign in with an admin account Connect-AzureAD # Get CSV content $CSVrecords = Import-Csv "C:\Book2.csv" -Delimiter "," # Create arrays for skipped and failed users $SkippedUsers = @() $FailedUsers = @() # Loop trough CSV records foreach ($CSVrecord in $CSVrecords) { $upn = $CSVrecord.UserPrincipalName $user = Get-AzureADUser -Filter "userPrincipalName eq '$upn'" if ($user) { try{ #This will update Set-AzureADUser -Company $CSVrecord.Company -Country $CSVrecord.Country -Department $CSVrecord.Department -JobTitle $CSVrecord.Title Set-AzureADUserManager -ObjectId $CSVrecord.ObjectID -RefObjectId $CSVrecord.ManagerID } catch { $FailedUsers += $upnC Write-Warning "$upn user found, but FAILED to update." } } else { Write-Warning "$upn not found, skipped" $SkippedUsers += $upn } } # Array skipped users # $SkippedUsers # Array failed users # $FailedUsers

@JTPOTATOSeems I can't replicate it in my own environment as some of it is specific to Azure.

I'd advise removing the Set-AzureADUserManager part of the script and try running it again to see if it works. If so, you definitely know it's that line causing it to fail.

I'd also try running the Set-AzureADUserManager line outside of the try and catch to see if you can get any more detailed errors from it, perhaps with verbose enabled

Do you have a breadboard? If not definitely get one and some jumper cables, you'll need some resistors, LEDs etc as well to get started. 🙂

If you have no experience I suggest starting out very simple following a blinking LED guide or similar, maybe putting your own spin on it once you've gotten it to work (like getting it to blink SOS in morse code or something similar). Take very good care when connecting stuff to the GPIO, it's a lot tougher on the wallet to fry a $14 Pi Zero than a $2 Arduino Uno. 🙂

thats it, just push it down, towards the motherboard. And yes... make sure you've unscrewed it from the PCIe slot... most cases have a screw holding it in

As far as i'm aware, this cooler is very standardised... Looks like it fits AM4 sockets from amazon reviews, so you should be fine... for power... it will likely use a standard 3-4 pin fan header for the fan... which you can connect on the motherboard itself, then either a SATA or (hopefully not) a molex cable...

I don't think you'd have too much trouble with it...

They can be stiff, so push down with your fingers... DO NOT use a screwdriver... because it will likely slip and break your motherboard... then you'll have another issue

Yeah I personally wouldn't recommend it for your yastes. If you want an open back headphone for your tastes. I would go with maybe a akg k712, hd58x ,beyerdynamic tygr, or Fidelio X2 he all pretty differrent headphones but all worth looking at

@JTPOTATO If you can get your hands on a Hifiman Sundara, it may be worth looking into it. One of the best sub $500 headphones in my opinion. As for amplification and source, I kind of like the way stacks look, so I'll recommend two: JDS Atom and JDS Atom DAC ($200 combo), or Schiit Asgard 3 and Schiit Modius. ($400 combo). If you don't care about matching looks, I'd consider the Schiit Heresy + Topping E30 for the lower budget combo.

I second the k712 as long as you have the space around your head. They are bulky so may not work well in a hammock for instance. They are however very light and comfortable and sound amazing. Great sound stage which is nice for music but even better for gaming. I personally use them mostly for gaming and listening to music at my desk at home. They also have decent frequency response at low volumes in case you need to turn it down to keep an ear out for something. The only other downside I've run into is the long ridged plug from the cord coming down can bump my shoulder if I move certain ways. If you switch directions and decide on closed back I have really enjoyed my AT M50s with aftermarket Brainwaves sheepskin and memory foam ear cups. That combination fixes the sweaty stiffness of the stock ear cups for a really comfortable and great sounding setup.

All I can say is that Reddit recommends the SMSL Audio M3, Monoprice liquid spark and Objective2. I haven't used any of them and I don't know if they're any good and really think you should wait for Rice to chime in but that's what Reddit told me.

The 2i2 can't power 250 ohm beyers or anything more demanding so be careful but before even going into that,
Are you sure you can hear the difference in lossless files? I've done extensive phase inversion analysis between 320kbps MP3s, WAV and FLAC files and really there's almost no difference. Try this link, I compared a FLAC I had laying around with a 320kbps MP3 (that I created from the FLAC) and phase inverted one, the differences are so minuscule that to really hear them you have to turn your volume way up.

This link lets you test your hearing against lossless and lossy files to see if you can hear a difference. Try that too

Now, I'm no expert on headphones so take the following with a pinch of salt.
The best headphones in that price range for critical listening are likely the HD6xx but your 2i2 won't be powerful enough to drive them, a standalone amp is likely necessary (good thing there's room in the budget for one), if you just want to power the headphones from your interface 80 ohm DT990 probably aren't a bad choice though they are well under budget. Beyond those two recommendations I'm not too sure and would probably defer to one of our headphone recommendation regulars like Rice Guru.
