  1. So here's the update. I contacted Corsair live chat and after going through the same old steps, they told me to disconnect the H100i v2 from my Corsair Commander Pro and to connect it directly to the CPU_FAN1 header on the motherboard. I did that and now it's fine and stable.
  2. Hey everyone. I've had some issues with my PC on and off for a few months now. I'm almost sure it has to be some setting in the BIOS / UEFI. Or maybe all the programs that mess with CPU and RAM stuff saved something. Either way, my CPU keeps getting hot and my cooler is struggling to keep up. I've testing all my hardware and re-seated things multiple times. All hardware has been tested and some even RMA'd. The hardware all looks fine. I've cleared CMOS and even removed that battery on the motherboard once. It says all settings changed to default when I restarted the PC, yet the temps still climb to 97C. CPU: Intel i7 5820K RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum SE Motherboard: MSI X99 Gaming Pro Carbon PSU: CoolerMaster 800w Silent Pro Gold Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 Many people say to look at the cooler. The cooler is fine. I've re-seated it multiple times and feel the vibrations. One tube is hot, one tube is room temperature. It's all hooked up fine and Corsair's iCue says its running well. It's actually getting hotter and hotter with the CPU.
  3. I took it off and put it back on. The water pump seems to be working. Windows loaded quickly this time, so maybe that was a slight issue. My mouse still doesn't want to click on anything for some reason. Keyboard seems to work. Update: Computer seems to be working fine, though I don't want to try overclocking again. Only issue is the mouse doesn't want to click. no left or right click, but cursor movement. I have some logitech mouse that works completely fine when I plug it into this laptop, and even works in the windows advanced start up menus where it's all blue. Doesn't work when windows starts normally, and doesn't work when in safe mode.
  4. I thought about that, but I checked the water block and it's still tight. No movement. I could always take it all the way off and put it back on if need be.
  5. I've always kept my PC running well. It was working fine yesterday and this morning. I uploaded some videos to edit, so I figured I'd overclock my CPU like I used to. I would overclock it all the time by selecting the automatic overclock option in the BIOS / UEFI. When I did it this time, the computer didn't want to start up. It would start for a few seconds, not show anything on screen, then shut down or restart. I looked into some stuff online and read that it might just be an expansion card not seated properly. I pushed everything in a bit, and noticed my wifi / bluetooth card actually went in further. I started up the computer again and it actually loaded, but it was going very slow. The CPU also got pretty hot and the computer auto shutdown. After trying to reduce the overclocking and running into start up issues, I cleared the CMOS in hopes that would fix it. It loaded incredibly slowly, but never shut down, and the mouse cursor moves but none of the buttons will click. I've tried different ports but I don't have a separate mouse. I've also tried restoring to previous version but kept getting an error. There's no overclocking or XMP on anymore, but it's still acting up. I cleared and re-updated the bios through m-flash, but it's still acting really poorly. I don't know what happened or what to do Motherboard: MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon CPU: Intel i7-5820K RAM: 32 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Over Clocked PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro 800W 80 Plus Gold Storage: Crucial 1 TB SSD and Western Digital Caviar Black 3 TB HDD
  6. I've been using Wordpress for many years now, but I keep running into bandwidth issues or issues with my hosts. I finally decided to switch to Squarespace about a week ago. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to transfer all my posts and images from Wordpress to Squarespace because it keeps telling me the import failed and the file isn't complete. I've contacted so many support people all over. The Squarespace live chat person left me with this: "If you increase the XML export size within WordPress, the "</rss>" tag at the very end of the file is present, and it's still not importing to your Squarespace site please attach the XML file in your response here so I can test and take a closer look."
  7. I'm trying for the second time to add corsair RGB fans to my cooler master master case maker 5 chassis. I've tried using the integrated fan controller from the case, the corair commander pro, and the fan hub that comes with the fans. All five fans are running, but none of them have RGB lighting. At one point one fan had one light turn on. I've tried plugging the fans into different ports in the different controllers. And yes, I've used Corsair Link to add the HD fans and configure them. Still no lights. Currently the fans are plugged into both the commander pro and the fan hub that came with the lights. I watched and read some guides that said to do it like this: Plug the fan hub into the LED port of the commander pro. Plug the RGB wires from the fans into the fan hub, and plug the fan wires from the fans into the commander pro. Both the hub and the commander pro are plugged into the SATA cables too. Again, the fans turn on, but there are no lights.
  8. I have a Cooler Master Mastercase Maker 5 and want to add some Corsair HD140 RGB fans. Can I use the integrated fan controller hub thingy on my case with some corsair fans or do I need the specific corsair fan controller?
  9. I'm using some super old and massive Microsoft Office keyboard. Not all of the F buttons work, but the main letters, numbers, and punctuation work. I want a new keyboard because, as I said, not all of the keys work and it's a massive keyboard.
  10. I got an average of 83 WPM. Was 86, but I got three errors because I didn't capitalize. I'm on a wireless chicklet-style keyboard.
  11. Here's the deal, I've gotten this blue screen a few times on Windows 10. I did some searching and found out some stuff about this IRQL junk. I'm not 100% sure about all this, just what I've found online. Apparently two devices have the same IRQL number which is causing a conflict and crashing my PC. I found out it's my GPU (GTX 780) and my new Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro. The topic I found said to uninstall the driver and restart the computer. Hopefully it would fix it. I did this to my Elgato. It didn't fix it. It didn't reinstall the drivers. I reinstalled them myself and they still have the same number. So how do I go about fixing this?
  12. Virtual shot looked pretty cool. That may be my favorite, but the transfer (smart switch) seemed really simple. What sort of file does that virtual shot use? Is it a video file or an animated photo file like a gif?
  13. Well it is about half the price. But yeah, I was thinking "Why are they comparing this to the 360?" They said the 360 was very popular, but the Wii outsold the 360.
  14. I hope I can win one! I use my PC to play video games, edit videos, and stream games. I haven't tried streaming non-video game stuff yet. I'd use this CPU for all that stuff. My current CPU sort of gets the job done, though I haven't tried 1080p 60fps video editing just yet. I have come across problems while streaming. My audio messes up and sometimes completely cuts out! This has happened with many different games. I read somewhere that it may be caused by the CPU. I don't know.
