  1. @Dreckssackblase Okey so unfortunately I jinxed it. I just got a BSOD when watching twitch. It said "reference by pointer". Now I am wondering, did I set the speed too high or is it the voltage?
  2. I think I fixed it now. Changed the speed to 3000Mhz in BIOS and adjusted the voltage to 1,36V. In the link I sent above it says my RAM needs 1,35V. Now it shows up in Windows as 3000Mhz. The PC booted up normal too. Hopefully no BSOD or any other errors will come. Thank you @Dreckssackblase!
  3. This is some unexplored territory to me. Is this safe to do? Will I get the same issue again like it's not booting if it's "too much"?
  4. I did not buy them in the same bundle. I bought 2 of them in march 2020. I can't remember when I bought the other 2. Could that really be the issue? I am pretty sure I had XMP enabled on my old motherboard. Do I need to buy 2x16GB instead?
  5. Oh and also, yes my RAM is compatible with the motherboard. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z690-GAMING-X-DDR4-rev-10/support#support-memsup My RAM - CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ver3.32
  6. As stated in the title. I bought the motheboard and a i7 12700k. Installed everything and the PC boots just fine. I also installed W11. RAM - Corsair Vengeance 4x8GB 3000Mhz. However, RAM is running at 2133Mhz in Windows. If I enable XMP my PC won't boot, or if it does it sometimes bluescreens, turns off by itself. I also tried to run Escape from Tarkov and it either froze on me or crashed. I thought it was my RAM acting up so I tried Windows Memory Diagnostic and it said was a hardware fault detected. Did some troubleshooting and I tried disabling XMP and now I don't get any faulty hardware detected in Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. Also the PC haven't BSOD since then. I looked at Gigabytes website and it looks like I have the latest version available of BIOS. Is it a BIOS-issue or is it that my RAM are too slow? I tried setting the speed manually on my RAM in BIOS but the PC wouldn't boot after. Not sure if I did it wrong, I just changed it back to normal and now it's back to running on 2133Mhz. Am I missing something here?
  7. @Beerzerker @Mark Kaine Thought I'd give an update because why not. Retailer got back to me, they wanted to send me a new mobo because it was a faulty motherboard (lucky me). But the 1151 sockets are getting old so they're not selling those mobos anymore. After some arguing back and forth I hopefully am getting the money back. Already ordered a Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X with a intel i7-12700k!
  8. Hello and sorry for a late reply, I've submitted an RMA to the retailer that I bought the MOBO from and I've sent it in and waiting for them to get back to me. Luckily I have a ASUS ROG Strix Z370-H at home which I mounted instead and it works perfectly with all RAM-sticks while I wait for my retailer to hopefully fix the one I sent in. They told me though that if they find a pin to be bent the warranty will be voided. Fingers crossed that's not the issue. I couldn't see it with a flashlight though. I had no access to a magnifiying glass.
  9. Hey guys and thank you for your replies. I acutally went home and brought my PC to work since we barely got anyting to do. After a lot of troubleshooting it seems my slot 1 and 2 on the MOBO isn't working. The pc boots up with RAM inserted in slot 3 and 4. But not in 1 and 2. Tried 1 RAM stick in slot 1 and it did not work. Same with slot 2. I tried all the RAM in my friends PC (he has the same RAM) and his PC booted up perfectly. So I guess I'll have to RMA my motherboard.
  10. Hey guys, I replaced my thermal paste on the CPU and GPU yesterday and since then I am having issues. I am in the middle of troubleshooting but work came in-between so I am looking for some tips from you guys until I get home. On my MOBO (Z390 Aorus Master) the DRAM light is shining constantly which obviously indicates it's a RAM issue. I have x4 8GB Corsair Vengeance sticks which I didn't have time to fully troubleshoot yesterday. However, this DRAM light quickly switches to the CPU light for like half a second before going back to the DRAM light again. Could it be the CPU causing a issue and actually not the RAM? I am not really sure what could've happened. It's not the first time I am swapping thermal paste on the CPU. It was my first time changing on the GPU though but that doesn't seem to be the issue here. Specs: CPU - intel i7-8700k MOBO - Z390 Aorus Master GPU - MSI 2080 ti RAM - x4 8GB = Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3200MHz Cooling for CPU - Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212
  11. Hello again guys, I am happy to inform you that the problem has been solved and you will never guess what it was!! I was about to go to the store with my friend to buy a new PSU, but before that I wanted to show my friend how the problem occured. Nothing happened to the K70 when I plugged it in the PC, tried my laptop and I got the same error message that there isn't enough power for the USB ports. And by accident I found out that it was a faulty cable in the keyboard, it was kinda loose. That's what made the other USB devices disconnect, the K70 must've short-circuit the other devices. I am typing on my new K70 MK.2 atm and I am quite happy that I didn't waste money on a new PSU!!
  12. An hour ago when I was going to turn my PC on for today it wouldn't even start with my K70 in. I have a power button at the back from the motherboard which lights up, as soon as I put the K70 in, the light just went out.
  13. Hey guys, This friday I went to a lan with 3 of my friends. When I got there I had some issues with my PC where it wouldn't turn on if I had too many USBs connected to it. I tried a bunch of things and what ended up solving was pulling all the cables out from inside the PC and plugging them back in again and it worked fine for the rest of the evening/night. Yesterday afternoon when I connected everything back home again I played some WoW for about 2 hours and then all of a sudden my keyboard, headset and mouse just disconnected and would not turn back on unless I rebooted the PC. This just kept happening all the time. I tried unplugging everything inside the PC and plugged it back in but no luck. I unplugged my keyboard and plugged in a old "Saitek Eclipse" keyboard in which I assume draws less power than my Corsair K70 RGB. I don't have the problem atm with the saitek, but I am not sure if it could be my PSU that's starting to give up or is it my K70 that does somethign? The PSU is about 7 years old and it's a "EVGA 750w G2 GOLD". Windows gave me a quick error message about something that there is not enough power for the USBs. I am trying my best to not make this to a wall of text guys so I may be missing some info. The stuff I have connected to my PC is x1 USB for my Steelseries Arctis Pro, x2 USB for Corsair K70 RGB, x1 USB for Steelseries Rival 310. MSI 1080ti Intel i7-8700k EVGA 750w G2 GOLD Z390 Aorus Master Corsair 32GB RAM
  14. IT WORKED! I feel so stupid that it was that easy!! Took 5min tops!! Thank you very much!! Guess I don't need to go to the mountains in China!
  15. I might just format the drive that this is stored on. Perhaps I can travel to some mountain in China and train to become the almighty Trusted Installer myself? God I hate windows sometimes, let me delete whatever I want, no matter the consequences!
  16. Thanks for your reply, I tried that but it said that the file can't be found.
  17. I just came back from a walk and I thought of maybe formatting the SSD drive that the shit is stored on. I have to sacrifice the games I have installed there, thanks though!
  18. Hey guys, UPDATE/SOLUTION: The problem is solved thanks to a friendly user providing me with a link "https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.laptopmag.com/amp/articles/take-ownership-folder-windows-10-using-file-explorer" . Big thank you to all the replies, you guys are the best! As topic said, I'm close to losing my mind. See the attached screenshot for the folder I am trying to delete. The marked folder is something that's leftover since I played Forza. The game is unsinstalled but this folder decided to stay for some reason. In the security settings I've made myself the owner of the map, and also on the sub-folders inside the marked map. However, when trying to delete it I get a message I need permission from "DESKTOP-*****\User" which is me! I've googled, watched videos, tried third-party apps. Nothing has worked so far. The folder itself is taking up 75GB so I don't really wanna ignore it. Let me know if you need further info. I just wanna tear that goddamn folder in a million pieces..... any help at all is greatly appreciated!
  19. Hey guys, as the topic states. I've been getting this problem since about a month back. It came out of nowhere. I've tried reinstalling W10. I've made sure most of my stuff is connected to USB 2.0. Only 2 devices are in my USB 3.1 slots now. It doesn't matter how I swap them around. Right now everything is working except the Soundbar. My motherboard is a Z390 Aorus Master with 32GB of RAM. Have you encountered similar issues? The devices I have connected are: x1 Steelseries Rival 310 (Mouse) x1 Corsair K70 RGB, it uses 2 usb slots. (Keyboard) x1 Audio Technica AT2020 USB+ (Microphone) 1x Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless. x1 Soundblaster X Katana. Cheers
  20. @minibois @jj9987 You guys are absolutely right about the privacy part. Can't believe I missed that... Guess I'll keep unsubscribing to all the junk that arrives. I am not expecting to completely get rid of spam, but as much as I can. Thank you guys for your reply. @minibois Thanks for the tip!
  21. Hey guys, I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place, please point me in the right direction otherwise. So as the title reads, is it possible to locate all the websites, platforms etc. that your email is registered to? I tried googling without any results, found one site that apparently had created a free software which helps you out, but it seemed a little sketchy. I can't search my inbox for different sites because I've cleaned it out. Do you guys have any suggestions what to do? Cheers, Markus
  22. My gpu is the most expensive one if bought brand new (1080ti). I bought it from a friend. Otherwise it would be my CPU i7 8700k.
  23. If everything cooperates with me, unboxing, building, installing windows and booting up, it takes about 2 hours I would say.
  24. Hey guys, I'm using FOG Project to install image on computers. However someone set this up for me so I just have to click install almost. Now I am trying to make a new image from a computer since the one who set it up is not around anymore. I'm following this guide: https://opensource.com/business/16/2/creating-disk-images-with-fog I'm at the step "Upload an image" but when I do that step I got stuck at "Unable to locate image store (/bin/fog.download). I have no idea how to solve this, I barely know anything about Ubuntu... Help is much appreciated.
  25. You couldn't even enter BiOS? Btw, did you try to put the new RAM in the original slots, just to make sure the new RAM is working?
