I was asking for 4 physical cores not threads

So I am looking for a under $150 (usd) cpu that is stock or can be overclocked to 4 ghz or higher and has 4 or more cores. Along with a fairly inexpensive mono and ram costs. Any ideas?

Will 2 HBT+ Fort A1 fit in a intel s5000psl mobo?

So I currently have two X5460 and I was wondering if i could upgrade ONLY ONE cpu to a x5492 and keep the other cpu. So it would be a X5460 and a x5492 running alongside each other. The reason I would like to do this is because I play ksp and it is a single core game and I am experiencing extreme bottle necking so i need to upgrade (more info found here).

Yea i have no clue if or how you can do this.

I was playing kerbal space program and it was very slow my specs are a evga 980 ti sc+, 2x xeon x5460, 32 gb ddr2 fb-dimm ecc, a intel s5000psl mobo. I am thinking it is a bottleneck, please help me find out what the bottleneck is!!!

Ok i figured this out the clock problem only happens when i have modded ksp running but all other games run fine
