  1. It's Gigabyte sorry, not MSI I just checked
  2. Yes, until yesterday putting any RAM stick in any slot made it boot up, then I'd shut down the system , reinsert the 2nd stick and 50% of the times it'd boot up no problem. Now, no matter how many times I try to do that it just goes as far as the writing 'finalising updates' ,or password page, but then goes to the blue screen ( when it goes to login page it freezes for a second after I try to interact with the keyboard or mouse to put password in)
  3. Thanks for the reply. These are my specs: 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM (2x4GB) i7 4790 An MSI mobo (not sure about model) Zotac GTX 1060 3GB 1TB Toshiba HD Corsair VS350 PSU I tried what you suggested but both DIMMs booted without problems in any of the 2 DIMM slots, and after that, if I inserted both of them again, it booted without a problem. It's being doing the weird thing of booting up after 1h if I leave it rebooting and crashing, but now it seems to be completely hopeless and stuck in it's crashing loop.
  4. I tried everything, from reinstalling windows to making sure all hardware was properly installed. Running Win7 64 bit. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
  5. Good day ladies and gents I have a G4400 and I am currently looking to sell it for around 50 Eur (as it has only been used for around a month) and with the money I'd like to but an i3 7100. I am in South Africa and I can't find anyone / any store that will buy it for cheap. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  6. ehm I've never done that. How do I go about that?
  7. Looks possible as the G4560 is only $90 where I would buy it and the ram only like 30$
  8. that's the best suggestion I have gotten so far from all the people I asked. Thank you, I think I will go for that. so the RAM isn't a problem? I checked it is always at around 3.8/3.9 out of 4 in Task manager
  9. But isn't the 6100 i3 also 2-core ?
  10. Good day ladies and gents I have built a system on a budget a few months ago and I just bought rainbow six siege. Here are my specs: Intel Pentium G4400 3.2 GHz Skylake MSI H100M PRO-VD 4GB DDR4 CORSAIR GENERAL(nothin fancy) RAM GTX 1050 2GB Zotac 500W Corsair PSU I am currently getting no more than 35 fps on 720p with all settings on the lowest. I have seen a few videos of people playing with a G4400 but still getting around 50-60-70 fps on medium-high at 900p or 720p (my max monitor resolution is 1024) but they all have 8 GB ram, so , my question is, if I put another 4 GB of ram in my PC how much will my fps increase +/- ? I just want to know if I should get more ram or a better CPU. Here is one of the videos I was talking about(this guy even has a worst GPU than mine yet is getting around 15-20 more FPS than me): Please note: I am really not rich so please don't say like buy an i5 or i7 as it is out of my budget. at max I can buy a i3 6100 unless I have to buy in the used market.
  11. There is a problem. I can't check if the card is seen in the device manager as when the card is connected NO OUTPUT is delivered by ANY MOBO or GPU outlets. whatever I connect to my monitor I still get no signal. About the sound, it does start up I'm sure because the keyboard lights goes mad (as usual) and flash in the same pattern as when I use integrated graphics. Also, how do I do the igpu thing ? Thanks for the reply
  12. Hello everyone I just got a new hard drive. I turned off the PC, unplugged it, plugged the new one in, removed the GPU(I did this because I can't see BIOS through the GPU as no signal is delivered until windows has started), plugged the VGA cable into the MOBO and than proceeded to install Win 10 on the new Toshiba 1TB HDD. I than (once done) shut down the PC, re-inserted the GPU and..... nothing.... absolutely nothing. The GPU fan was spinning at I think around 40-50% and the monitor wasn't receiving signal. I tried restarting, re-installing Win 10, I tried to disable onboard graphics from the BIOS (after having re-removed the GPU) and still no signal. I see no reason why it should have died as it is only a month old but that looks like what's happened... Any suggestions before I bring it back to wootware? Thanks in advance 4 the help. And no, I have no other PC to test it on and no other PCI-E slot in the MOBO.
