  1. Grabbing a new laptop in the price range of £1.6k - £2k ish.. So far it's become a Razer Blade pro 17", Dell Xps 15" 4k version or wait a few months for the surface book 2 15" model for the better gpu over the 13". Touch screen is relatively important for my uni work, and for pen usage I'm leaning towards the surface book.. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?
  2. Is there many people here that use Vectorworks? Having some issues with rendering larger files, seems to gets bugged into just flashing between wireframes and openGL, I'm usually always using my own custom renderworks and also Exterior Final Renderworks. System plenty powerful enough so wouldn't be hardware problem. (I know there are plenty of bugs with this software but never come across this)
  3. Alright I will try that, my OC seems stable at 3.9Ghz and I think I'm at 1.3v, I do a lot of rendering for work (Vectorworks, 3DS Max) and leave it on from short bursts to hours and its never slipped up. Seems strange. Cheers for the reply.
  4. A few days ago I noticed my time started to slow down and every few hours I had to re-check the "auto time" function on Windows 10, this computer was a new build and is around 4 months old. Since the time has slowed on my system any game I play that is online has stutters feeling like I'm playing at 300ms despite it hovering around 25-35ms. Are these two things related and is it a simple CMOS battery replacement or would it be an RMA? The motherboard in question is a x370 MSI Gaming Plus. It can't be FPS as this is paired with a Ryzen 1700 @3.9Ghz, a GTX 1080 G1, 16gb 3000mhz and a 650w Power Supply.
  5. Nope, it was bought off PC Specialist
  6. I recently got a laptop at £300, the specs are; -> I5-6300HQ -> GTX 960M 2gb -> 8gb DDR3 1600Mhz -> 128gb SSD -> 750gb HDD -> 15inch 1080p display I'm wondering what the value of selling this on would be, I've seen it go for around £650+ second hand, as this laptop is only 8 months old.. The only issue is there is a strange mark on the screen that's not noticeable unless theres a white background or one colour on there. Wondering if anyone knows if I should just place the screen to get more profit or what? During games etc I've never had a problem with it Thanks!
  7. Resetting the network adapter seemed to do the trick! Going to do a full sweep of my system as well just to be sure. Thanks!
  8. Re-installed Chrome multiple times, I haven't done a scan with Malwarebytes but I will. No, it seems to do it with a lot of sites, but some like this, not affected, I've just changed to using a wireless adapter via usb on my computer and it fixed the issue, but I only ever use an Ethernet cable and don't have access to a wireless adapter all the time (unless I buy one). I have given this cable to a friend using his PS4 to watch films online, not sure if this is a thing but I doubt his website is a trusted source, will that have anything to do with it do you think?
  9. A few days ago all my browsers started to play up, I haven't downloaded anything recently or had anything suspicious on my computer. Accessing nearly every website, via writing the web address at the top or googling it and clicking the links, it enters a page of what I think is security codes or such.. Google chrome on the other hand tries to download the webpages, and once it's done downloading, you can never open it.. Anyone seen this sort of thing happen, and more importantly, anyone know a fix. It's stopping me being able to do any work etc and is very infuriating. I've attached a picture of Edge opening into all these SSH things and Chrome just downloading any webpage you open. Thanks
  10. Okay thanks for the replies! I'm looking to sell it after a few upgrades, I have cleaned it completely, stripped it down and done proper cable management job. Re-done all the thermal paste and there is little to no dust anywhere and now all that's left is the step up in GPU. Think I will be going for something around a GTX 770, just to push it a bit further. Thanks you for the input!
  11. Well, I picked up a computer today at a second hand store for £30 ($37).. It was a steal! It's has an i5 750 which I've OC to a stable 4Ghz, but the GPU is a XFX HD 6870 which seems to bottleneck horribly, utilization of the cpu hovers around 30 - 50% playing any game, AAA or indie whereas the GPU is 100% on most all the time.. What upgrade should I get, so far I'm looking at a GTX 770, seems paired with this I can get a decent performance out of it. It also has 8gb of DDR3 RAM at 1600, power supply is 550W also. It seems to have never been used and just sat and collected dust, giving it a thorough clean soon.
  12. Add me on Origin: Luwak0000 pretty good all round with the classes, from the UK and I have a mic! Feel free to hit me up with games when I'm online.
