  1. I should also mention, DP works in Bios.
  2. This is my first time using the Displayport on this card.
  3. Hello all, Yesterday I bought a MSI Optix G24C 144hz monitor. When I went to set it up, the included Displayport cable did not work. I cannot get a signal on the screen with that cable. The cable DOES work with my brothers 1060 set up. Setting it up, the computer works but the screen stays black. I plugged in an HDMI to another monitor and it detects two monitors, but nothing comes up on the Displayport screen. I am currently using the monitor with a DVI-D and it works perfectly at 144hz, it also works with an HDMI. I would like to use the Displayport so I can take advantage of Freesync. Not sure where to go from this, any help would be appreciated.
  4. Bios upgrade did nothing. I will be running the tests starting tonight. Thanks a lot for your help so far.
  5. PSU: CX650M 650W I am checking my latest BIOS, I am on H81M-H Rev. 1.1, version F5. That version doesn't even come up with the Gigabyte support, it starts at F7 and goes on with F9 being that latest. This computer was given to me by a friend three weeks back, who did not know what he was doing at all and was built by Canada Computers. I am not sure what is going on with the BIOS, I don't want to install the wrong update for the wrong rev. I am going to run those tests after I get this BIOS version figured out.
  6. I did a clean installation of windows a few weeks back, I havent since adding in the GPU or PSU. Do you have any advice on how to test my GPU CPU and memory? After that I will try a fresh install of windows.
  7. Don't know if this says anything, but I just tried playing BF1 and got 12 FPS on low. I don't see a way this combination is that bad.
  8. Same settings, 24-44 FPS. Really not sure what is going on. I am going to look into finding one of these.
  9. I did not. Going to relaunch and see what happens.
  10. Running around at night in Dying Light right now to see. At 30-55 FPS on best quality, 60-80 on best performance. Checked on that, DVR was disabled but record audio was on? Weird but yeah that stuff is disabled now.
  11. Motherboard: Gigabyte H81M-H Ram: 8 GB and then the RX 580 and i3-4330 This would for sure be a worst case scenario. I would like to confirm that my CPU is causing these issues before spending any more money. I am just having trouble comprehending the bottleneck, I really do not think it should be this bad!
  12. Is there any salvaging this? Other than upgrading my MOBO, RAM, and CPU? I'd really rather not shell out another $600 anytime soon for that, I already had to buy a new PSU for this.
  13. Hello all, Yesterday I bought a brand new RX 580 8GB. After installing it and getting into some games, I was very disappointed with my results. GTA V has trouble staying at 40 FPS, even on low graphics settings. I knew that the CPU would bottleneck the GPU, but I didn't think to this extent. For what it is worth, I have seen videos of people using the 4330 for GTA with no problems whatsoever. The trend of poor performance continues with games like Mafia 3 (can blame poor optimization), HITMAN and The Division. I have, however, been getting better performance in Counter-Strike and The Witcher 3. I am beyond confused by all of this, when using AMD System Monitor, I can see that in the GTA V benchmark, my CPU is at 100% while my GPU stays at around 60-80%. Any and all advice would be helpful, this has been extremely frustrating. I have tried everything I can think of, fresh driver installs, making sure hyper-threading is on, and tweaking in-game settings.
  14. I am not sure if this is the right place to be posting this. I am looking for a small LED strip that I can put on the underside of my desk. I have a two-level desk with the top level hosting my monitor. I would like to add a small LED strip to the underside of that to add a little flare to my setup. The recommended LED strip from a buddy of mine who added LED's to his basement bar run for $100 CAD/5m which is out of my price range. Just looking for something relatively cheap, preferably that is powered by USB, AC, or battery power.
