It's a shame that there aren't any four socket AMD EPYC servers. AMD has not commented on whether there would ever be an EPYC processor capable of 4-Way operation.

That's unusual... I have an old machine with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 from around 2005 and it runs the 64-Bit version of Windows 8.1 very well. It may run Windows 10 but I never tried it.

I don't see SATA and USB merging but I do see SATA, SAS, and u.2 merging. The u.2 NVMe host bus adapters are backwards compatible with SAS and SATA. I see SATA ports being entirely replace by u.2 ports in five years.

I wasn't trying to be contrarian or difficult, just outlining my observations during my short time here so far. As a 32 year old, I have a lot of past experiences that tend to shape my expectations, and most forums I've been active on have typically offered a breadth of discussion; sometimes as you've noted, to their detriment. 
 
To see Linus' stated purpose for the forum as to not really expand discussion outside of tech, that's a perfectly valid vision and I can see why the policies and moderation has taken the shape that is has.

Just to throw my own voice in here.. This is a tech forum. If you want to discuss religion/politics/anything else that would cause a fight at a dinner with your entire extended family there are a lot of places on the Internet where you can do that.
 
This site was created to be a place to talk about tech WITHOUT that junk. It's a formula that has worked well for us for many years now and not one we're looking to shake-up - though as Windspeed alluded to, we are always looking for feedback.

Haven't watched the video yet, but based on the forum rules, I hardly think they deserve kudos. The amount of censorship and locking of threads here is SJW-like.

It is stupid and immature, but that's modern social media marketing. Being "edgy" is the new thing for companies on social media. Its like the 90s all over again. I hate it, but it works.

Why does LTT allow opinion-filled opening posts in the news section? I understand if it's a review, but I honestly believe that opinions should be withheld when posting a news piece, but then again, I guess we're not a journalistic site.
